I've been thinkin about buying a nintendo DS and buying the newest pokemon game since i haven't played one since pokemon silver. Is it worth the money, and what other games would be good for it?

Well if you are worried about money then just get a DS Lite, unless you want to pay like an extra $50 for a few new features like a camera for the DSi. Pokemon Platinum would be a good game to start with. If you are into GTA then Chinatown Wars is good, but if not then just check out some titles from like year like Chrono Trigger, The World Ends With You.. stuff like that. Then there's a few classics like Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros... stuff like that. Just browse for the kind of game you are interested in.
