If I were to get only one game for the 3DS...

Which game should I pick? Okay, let's say I am going to get a 3DS (want one but don't have the money, yet) and I only hvae enough money for one game. I don't just want to buy the 3DS for the 3DS (although I want it), I need games so which game would you recommend is the best game for the 3DS and why? Should I get SSIV because it got a good rating but it doesn't have a ton of gameplay? Nintendogs + Cats or does that get boring fast? Steel Diver, or was that just a bad game because its rating is bad? Other?

Smash Bros or mario kart... I can't choose between those. I'd get em' both. Since you don't posses the cash then just wait until there is a better game library because It'll be a waste of money at the moment.

Nintendogs got boring fast, SSF4 is great when your not fighting a cheap auto-block spammers or sore losers who disconnect every other match (no points from winning then), and Steel Diver I don't know, however it's supposed to be a rather short game. Samurai Warriors is a fun hack n slash game that has big open environments, I suggest that if you like that type of game. I would suggest SSF4 but the online spammers ruin most of the fun your going to have unfortunately, it wasn't as bad at launch but now the normal players seem to be leaving. Lego Pirates looks good (better than Lego Star Wars which was decent) as well as Dead or Alive Dimensions, having already played Samurai Warriors myself, I personally would love to pick up Dead or Alive after seeing new gameplay of it. Although by the time you get a 3DS the eShop and Ocarina of Time will be out and that will be the first major hit.

nintendogs was great for like 3 weeks... i sold it.

get pilotwings or rayman 3d....i recommend them because it shows what 3d on the 3ds is capable of... sometimes i think rayman has better 3d than pilotwings....get them both.
steel diver is nice buit wait until it 20 dollars.

samurai warriors is still probably the game I've had the most fun with. OOT comes out in a few weeks.

samurai warriors is surprisingly fun and this is coming from someone who hasnt played a warriors game since dynasty warriors 3.

the lego pirates and star wars are both good games.

street fighter 4 and ghost recon are easily the best games on the 3ds right now.

dead or alive comes out tomorrow and blazblue next week

Pilotwings!!! The game starts out slow, but it picks up. It's a good pick up and play portable and has some nice visuals. Imo, it is the best launch title by far. I have street fighter as well, however, it really is just a console type game.

They haven't announced Smash Bros and I don't really see it happening, so go with Mario Kart if you are willing to wait.
