If SMG got a 8.5 score

Gamespot will give it an 8.0 or 8.5. They HATE the Wii a lot!!! Every other person in the known universe will probably give it around the 9.5s and 10s.linkrul3s

that was its DOWNFALL!!!!! Gamespot thought the controls were too good. If mario glaxay has too good of controls, then it will follow the same path. If it gets a 8.5 im gonna laugh cause its expected (IMO).

Just putting this out there, but not every hyped game is guaranteed to get 9.0+. Of course we want it to be because we have waited so long for the game and the previews look really good, but in the end the game could completely suck(which we hope not) or it can be really amazing and get a 9.0+ review but that is just my opinion.njdevil2350

Super Mario Sunshine only got 8 and that was an amazing game

MP3 got a 8.5 score because it was to much like Prime 1 and 2, while galaxy is Mario and to top it off it is original like has anyone ever did a platformer which is always in place with different galaxy and Wii controls? I think not 9/10 from GS.St_muscat

So is Halo 3, its not to much different from its predecessors and look what it got.

By this time we all know how GS score games for different systems, 360 will always get the highest scores just because they love the system, PS3 will get some good reviews every now and then and the Wii will always flop. I expect nothing from GS regarding a Wii review I know for sure that SMG will get 8.5 or even lower in here while it will get super mega reviews in other sites, that's how life is, if it wasn't that GS has the best forum system I wouldn't even be here!

After Zelda and Metroid alot of us has stopped hyping games on GS, because we know that we will be owned! now on IGN is a totally different thing, as another user said in the early posts of this thread IGN is more professional and it's doesn't have a favorite system, that's probably because they have different teams for each system so there is no favoritism like we do have here in GS.

If it gets a 8.5 it's a 8.5matsterJ

qft. I think Gamespot knows how big this game will be. SMG is like the Halo 3 of the Wii. Whatever it gets it will deserve and i'm guessing it will get a 9.0.

We virtually all (looking at you, flat earth society) realize that the Earth is round, but back in the day you'd have been thought of as kind of silly. By pretty much everyone. Then you would have been persecuted by various religious bodies and killed.

So no, it is not at all necessarily logical that many sources saying the same thing are more correct than one source saying another.

I wouldn't be surprised if SMG or even Brawl got an 8.5 from GS. I really don't care and none of you should. Despite the score that MP3 and TP got--I still got the games and enjoyed those games.

I really believe that people just can't get past the whole Wii control scheme. It's like people despise it for not being typical analog controllers. Yes, there are alot of crappy Wii games out that make poor use of the Wiimote, but the good games shouldn't have to suffer.

If you want either Galaxy or Brawl--you will still get it--trust me.
