If the wii had HD graphics this gen would the fanboys have shut up.

I bet you if the wii had HD this time around, the fanboys would never have opened their mouths, but if the wii had some amazing graphics they would say a word about it. im sure. they are really blind about what is good about a game, and they think its graphics. but the next console wich will probly have HD graphics wont be trash talked by fanboys cuz of graphics. stupid fanboys.

With PS3's motion control and Xbox's natal the Wii doesn't stand much of a chance. Nintendo has some good games but they don't have enough 3rd party support. The Wii needs HD support now no matter how good the game will be.

Natal and the PS3 motion controller are dead on arrival, Natal will cost in excess of £100 possibly £150 and the PS3 motion controller requires a PSeye (£30)and may cost upward of £50 and god knows what else if they make a nunchuk for it. The fact they dont come as standard will work against them too.

We can thank costs for HD gaming development for the turmoil in this biz, the loss of Factor 5 and near loss of Free Radical, the lengthier waiting for games that pale next to their predecessors in the important areas are making it less fun then it used to be.

They'd say the other systems had better HD. Or they would find sopmething else to whin about. But natal and the wand have already failed so?

Only hope?!?! You guys are acting like Sony and MS are on life support. The other consoles are doing just fine. If Sony can lift the resolution requirement (MS already has), then we can see games made with less budget on those systems. That can only be a good thing.

That said, Natal isn't aiming for the same marketshare as Wii. It's an open question as to whether it'll actually do what it purports to do, but it's got a chance. The SMC? That's got failure written all over it. It's doing what the WM+ is already doing, without any killer apps in sight, for more money, on an awkward controller scheme, with an install base that's more or less hostile to motion controls. I wouldn't want to be in charge of that white elephant.

If not graphics, it would be the library, if not the library, it would be that its too kiddy, if not that it would be motion controls, if not that it would be "milking" franchises.

It would be the same as last-gen. Wii would be the kiddy console like the GameCube. The GameCube was more powerful than the PS2 and the PS2 had more multiplatform games.

Huh? I think you don't get it. Both PS3 wand and Natal are periphicals. To get the Wii, you need to see the wand and Natal as standard to a console. They will probably fail.

its the only hope now. they thought they would own next gen by using what the wii had this gen, but i think both of them are utter failures. they dug themselves into holes, and IMO, they are hanging by a string and they need to hope that somehow these projects take off and get on their feet, andthey better pray to God that Nintendo doesnt release a console too soon, becuz they know we are the masters of motion andNint. will only be even better next console, and with HD graphics and superior motion control and amazing games next gen, Nintendo will crush all the fools who opose the power! i mean you just know that Natal and SMC will not be strong next gen compared to what Nintendo will unleash. These Nintendo-hating fanboys have absolutely no idea what they want from their gaming. They just like to play "follow the leader" with Sony and Microsoft like chasing carrots on a stick. That explains why they're huge fans of the Achievement/Trophy systems on XBox360 and PS3; it tells them exactly what they must do in order to have fun with the game they're playing, and they do as they're told.

Trying to shut up these fanboys would be as useful as trying to earn an XBox Achievement by dying 5 times in a row in under 10 seconds. How rewarding...

Well Imho, HD graphics are overrated. I think if you do some digging, I think that you will find that most of this generations best titles...Halo 3, Gears of War, KZ2, Uncharted and CoD 4 all run in sub 720p natively. So its not all about HD visuals at all with the Wii. The biggest issue people have with the Wii is why the Gamecube has better games than its successor has had. I mean seriously, when you consider the Gamecube had Eternal Darkness, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, StarWars Rogue Squadron, Resident Evil Remake, Time Splitters 2, Mario Sunshine and more you have to wonder why Nintendo decided to flood the Wii with trash like Cooking Mama, Trauma Center, Boom Blox and crap like that. For every Mad World, Mario Kart, SMG, SSBB or Dead Space Extractionthere are 10 trash shovelware games!!

HD looks nice and all, but it is almost a myth of sorts. I can play CoD 4, Uncharted or Mass Effect on my 37" LCD HDTV and then I can play those same games on a 36" SDTV and outside of a little sharpness and maybe a bit more vibrant color pallet, the graphics are what they are! having better hardware, that isn't (only) better than the Xbox by 24MB RAM that big developers like iD, Valve, EA, R* can port games too with ease would make "fanboys" dislike it less i suppose

Nintendo took a two risks this gen, using the Motion Controller, and gimping the hardware

but next gen (for DS/Wii) they seem to be heading to staying at least technological good (as DS should have Tegra and Shiggy said Nintendo will move along with Tech)

That being said, i see a Wii HD/2 in 2011 accompanied by a DS2 in 2011 both with really good hardware

(Nintendo launched Wii/DS Lite in 2006, GameCube/GBA in 2001)
