If you could buy a 3DS without the 3D, would you?

Of course I would!! Better battery life and higher resolution would be preferred over 3d that I can't look at for over an hour.

Though, In theory, without the 3d, I don't see how many people would be able to justify the cost.

I dont see the point at all. A higher res screen wouldnt actually make the games look THAT much better. The games would still be made for the 3DS screen and capabilities. Plus when games come out that utalize the 3D effect to ots fullest and actually enhance the game experience people would miss out.

Even with it off it is very short in comparison to other modern devices. It only gets a fraction of the battery life of the DSi XL. The iPad 2 gets 10 hours and many netbooks get even more than that, with screens many times larger.

I have no intention to ever use the 3D feature, since I don't like the gimmick. So one with no 3D at all would be something I'd definitely buy.
