The way it is now, there's a choir looking for someone to preachpsychobrewhahah i like the way you put that. But I like to check out IGN's and GS's and Yahtzee's reviews, then I read the reviews that gave the game the lowest review scores to see if I'll be able to put up with the flaws they found. Unless they get something factually wrong or describe something very misleadingly, I don't have a problem with reviews that give scores way below or above what I think it should get, and as I said, I go out of my way to read those reviews. So of course I read GamePro's review of The Conduit, and found it very misleading. And now it turns out one of their reviews is plagiarised, which is also by definition misleading the reader. When a gaming site builds up a pattern of reporting false or misleading information, they lose their reputation and are only then objectively unreliable.
You know, people do like to discuss Wii related things amongst their peers. Wait? Where? Can you give me a link to that forum? :P[QUOTE="Sepewrath"]And this news worthy why? Who cares about someone rightfully being cannedFFCYAN
Its not really Wii related its just some guy who did something stupid, while amusing. people aren't talking about the Wii or the game involved. They are talking about how IGN editors cant write and what constitues profession.SepewrathAnd how is that any different from the clearly Wii-related threads posting up IGN review scores for Wii games? ;)
[QUOTE="GabuEx"]That's what happens when you read reviews from "professional" game sources. Gamespot fires honest editors, GamePro copies reviews, and IGN uses the word "retarded" and fails to complete games they review. This should be a lesson to everyone. This is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.
He couldn't take an hour out of his busy schedule to, um, actually write a review? You know, that thing that was his job? :P

Reader reviews ftw? (Well, the well written ones at least).
I'm glad to see the website took te right action and fired the reviewer. I fail the see how you should ever use any one else's eview as a "jumping off" point. A review is supposed to be yours and yours alone. You shouldn't be getting ideas from other people over what to think of the game.
Lol, it looks like one of my papers in college, i didn't do it, so i have to "borrow" my girlfriend's, we lol so hard when i printed and it looks almost the same, thankfully we each earn a 90.
I didn't even know GamePro was still around. They used to have a good review system featuring Graphics, Sound, Control, and Fun Factor, and then they got rid of it.
I also remember a lot of N64 games getting perfect ratings (except Ocarina of Time, which got 4.5/5.0 on Controls).
i was going to say the same, until i read the last part, in which the guy describes 2 items in the same order with the exact same words.I agree with the plagiarism except for the hilighted words in green.
Oh no! He named the same guns as the IGN reviewer! PLAGERISM!!infamous_27
