Are any of you doing the same?

Hell no. I probably won't be buying a Nintendo system ever again. After their lackluster showing with the Wii, it is clear to me that this new Nintendo is done. They have turned into the Justin Beiber of the video game industry..except they actually have a feew hits here and there.
The Justin Beiber of the video games industry? You mean Young, Rich and Successful and hated by those who are jealous of there success? Sound about right.Hell no. Europe has to wait a month so I will gauge how the console is based on the Japan and North America reviews and make my decision from there.OhJayDubya
^ Same... :)

On topic: Definitely buying it day one also Nintendo made a bunch of games I enjoyed this gen and with a more powerful system and their creativity I'm sure they can pump out some classics even if the next box and PS4 are much stronger.Hell no. No I meant, talentless, rich, successful and loved by little kids. I am not jealous of their success, I am mad that their success is keeping them on the casual path because I loved their games a lot. But its k, saves me money from now on. lol

What.
Even though i have trashed the Wii U in the past, the kid in me is still interested. Here is what I am thinking......If the Wii U is priced $299.99 or less I will pre-order 2. Then sell one to cover at least half of the Wii U's price. Though I'm not sure there will be a crazy demand as with the Wii. Worse case I just return one or both!

No I meant, talentless,
 holy sh*tI have no plans to buy a Wii U either, unless one of these titles are announced: Star Fox, Fzero, Super Smash, and Mario Kart. Foxi911
Starfox:No unless it's an action-adventure game.
F-ZERO:No.
Smash:not byuing if it doesn't have a million new characters and tons of content.
Mario Kart,no,that series is dead for me.
TLoZ: YES!
Metroid: YES
Super Mario:YES
Silent Hill: F*CK YES!...only if it's an extemely good game.
I'm aiming to get the Wii U day one. Mainly for Pikmin 3, but New Super Mario Bros. U, Project P-100, and Rayman Legends all look really good. This is the strongest launch lineup I've seen in a while actually

Well, we have a difference of an opinion, especially concerning why franchises shouldn't be on a new gaming console. The more the merrier, that is what makes a console sale; diversity in software. Instead change all of those no's to yes. :)[QUOTE="GreekGameManiac"]

I said i don't want those games.
I didn't say i don't want them released.
Not the same.
I am not jealous of their success, I am mad that their success is keeping them on the casual path...GlutenbobSays who? Assassin's Creed 3, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Arkham City: AE(and more). How are they 'keeping on the casual path'?

True but I like some of the casual games they have like Mario, Pikmin and honestly when I played Just Dance, that game was really fun

True but I like some of the casual games they have like Pikmin Pikmin is, almost by definition, the opposite of casual. It's very much a niche game, To answer the OP's question: Pikmin 3, Rayman Legends, and Project P-100. At least one of those have to release at launch, and the rest have to be in the launch window, then I'll get a WiiU day one. In other words, yes, I'm getting a WiiU. I'm also having a "wait-and-see" attitude towards ZombiU and NSMBU.
I am buying the Wii U on day one. Hope to camp outside a store in the early morning hours to be the first one in line to grab one. :-)
I know no one has announced any midnight launch, but if the Wii U release date is near Black Friday, that won't matter. You pretty much have to wait outside at midnight then. If it's not, I can do it anyway because I'm awesome!
No. I don't have the money to get one and even if I did have the money to get one I would wait a while because there's not enough games that coming out for it right now that I am interested in.
At this point I wont be buying it at all, there is literally nothing appealing about the system or its launch window games for me. The uses for the tablet that we've been shown look really tacked on and shallow, even from Nintendo's outings so far. But as always, teh gamez will decide, unfortunately nothing right now is a must have... Once Retro and Monolith Soft show their hands though, maybe my excitement will spike.
I don't plan on buying the Wii U day 1. I plan on getting a 3DS first. I'll get the Wii U sometime in the future.
I get why you would, all the hype and excitement for the new console, but if you get past that it's a poor decision.
No or next to no games worth buying (though I admit, I don't actually know what it's launching with, probably not much) and all those 1st batch hardware issues that are bound to happen.
Not to mention all the games from current systems you have to play already.
Best thing to do, wait a year or so to get caught up and let the issues of the new system get ironed out, and also for the system to build up a substantial library.
For me it probably has most to do with how much cash I have to throw around in november and how much this thing will actually cost.
I'm intrigued by the mario admittedly and rayman legends but the game thats going to probably be the system seller for me is Zombie U and the more I'm hearing about this game the more I'm loving.
Now while buying a system for basically one game people would argue is pretty silly the way I see it I can only play one game on the system at a time and personally I like to be into only one at a time to get the full experience. Hopefully when I'm done with Zombie U something else that sparks my interest will be on the shelves. For me its pretty damn safe to assume theres going to be at least a handful of other games on nintendo's hardware I'm going to be into.
Even if I could spare extra money for it I always wait a good year before purchasing new hardware. Usually by that time, price is better, bundles are out and hardware issues get decently sorted out.
Games that are originally released are also cheaper and there is a solid game library to purchase.
When that happens I will gladly purchase WiiU, the same goes for PS4. I'm in no rush, the backlog of current generation games I still have to play is will last me long time to finish.
