I'm embarrassed to enjoy the Wii now

Sigh... this thread is so sad.

When I want to play the Wii or buy a new game for it, I'm scared cause some people are always judging. I also feel like playing some GCN games but I'm scared since I have an HDTV, it may look bad and everyone will say how bad it looks. Are there any like "portable screens" so I don't have to play my Wii on a 32" screen?blazingneo32089

TC, why do you keep making threads about this?? Seriously, you are going to have to face much more adversity in your life than an uncle that makes fun of you for playing a certain console.

You shouldnt be embarrassed, you are only hurting yourself.

People who rip on the Wii tend to be Xbox 360 or PS3 owners; and their reason for their bitterness towards Nintendo and the Wii is because the we has dominated in unit sales; simply killing the other systems. Because of that, they'll say how much the Wii sucks; I chalk that up to a case of Wii envy.

I think the Wii has an awesome selection of titles, esp. some of the exclusive ones made for the Wii. Now, does the Wii have titles that suck, you bet (every system does); but because of the huge number of releases available and the volume of software companies looking to make a buck because of the huge selling Wii, some excess junk gets out there. If one simply does a little research before buying a game, or they rent it first, you won't have a problem of owning a game that stinks. Very proud Wii owner here, I wouldn't trade what I have for an Xbox 360 or a PS3; I simply have no interest in those systems.

By the way, I have our Wii hooked up to a 37" LCD HD screen and it looks great.
