I dont know if it's just me, but i'm really starting to hate it, and a miss a normal controller. The sensor bar drives me nuts half the time. Am I alone on this one? Everyone still enjoying the new controller?

I still enjoy it. I did not get bored of normal controllers, so I don't really get why I would be bored with the wiimote.

I started up my PS2 the other day to watch a movie and was trying to point the PS2 DVD remote at the screen. Definitely not tired of the remote.

I don't hate normal controllers, but it feels really weird to go back to the GC controller, since I always sit with my hands pretty far away from eachother while playing the Wii. Normal controllers force me to sit with my hands next to eachother.. This makes me wish I could just saw the GC controller in two pieces.. :P

the same is true for me.

When ever i go back and play my 360, when ever i want to do someting (like swing a sword in Oblivion), i Move the controller for like 5 mins. before i remember that i need to press a button.

Pressing buttons is SO 2005........................

A controller is just a tool.  If it's doing it's job right you shouldn't even be aware of it.  The only time I get sick of a controller is if it's uncomfortable, or unresponsive, or if I take over from someone with sweaty hands, yuck!  The GC controller was pretty much perfect, the only time I ever paid attention to it was when I would push the buttons too hard and make my fingers sore (usually R and L in Need for Speed).  The Wii controller works great, so I never pay attention to it.

I haven't really thouched my wii in a week, (I also haven't played my ps3 ether) I was just playing FNR3 on 360 today. now with that said I wouldn'd say I was board with my wii-mote, Its the games I have for it. I can see it becoming a fadd and just not being cool a few years from now. Thats only if all that comes out are mini game games. The wii needs some real games that make since for the wii-mote. the games n wii-mote should be as one, we shouldn't have to think how to use it we will just know.

I think it's mostly the sensor bar that's turning me off. I'm always switching the wii between tvs, and it just gets annoying to readjust the sensor. I also haven't found a game on the wii yet that i like more than Super Smash Bros 64:)

I agree. You can sit at a much more comfortable position when you use the wiimote and it fits perfectly in your hands.

You seem to be alone. Go buy an Xbox360 or a PS3 if you're getting tired of the wiimote. Basically the only thing you can do about it.

my house is not set up for good wii playing right now. So the wiimote is just really uncomfortable. The couch is way too close the tv so it doesn't function correctly and everything's at a weird angle in my house so I can't get directly in front of the tv unless I stand.. so I am super frustrated with the wii at this point. Unless they come up with a game that's interesting (godfather and zelda... Horrible choices I should never have bought) I won't be playing much wii. I mean it's tough enough to just play the damn thing.

The only issue I have with the Wiimote is that I don't belive it is as reliable as a regular controller. I mean, look at Wii boxing. I want to know that the action I want to take is going to happen when I do what needs to be done to do the action.(i think thats what i wanted to say) I still don't know if the problems that have popped up on games are due to the actual Wiimote hardware or just shoddy developing.

It's probably a combination of hardware limitations and development decisions.

Weird. The room I have my Wii in is TINY. I sit about three-four feet from the TV, and it's never caused a problem for me at all. I was actually worried that it may cause a problem playing the Wii in such a small room, but other than bumping my hand into the edge of the TV playing baseball once it's never been a problem.

Sometimes when I'm playing my Wii, it does get annoying to have to move my hand whenever I want to do something. I sometimes wish the good old days of just pressing a button, but not often. I see where your coming from though.

Without it however Wii becomes pointless. Wii is the controller, it just a fancy Gamecube without it because they didn't expand on the rest of the gaming capabilities (much).

Same here. But one time I played GT Pro Series for about 3 hours straight (pretty much completed it in those 3 hours. lol) and then decided to play Burnout for a bit. With every turn I'd go to tilt the controller before realising I had to use the analog sticks. I'd never played so bad before. lol

The only thing that pisses me off about the Wii controller is that there are not enough games that utilize it well.

But like others have said, I wish my other controllers were split in half.  I think the Wii controller, besides moving it, is probably the most comfortable to hold as you can relax your hands pretty much anywhere.

Yeah. The controller is just one big gimmick. In fact, wii games are the worst reviewed if a game is multiplatform. 360 is the best, PS3 is second best and Wii is worst, due to the stupid controller. Nintendo BETTER NOT make another one like this. I like traditonal ones way better. The Wii is a great system with good games, but the controller is a mistake.

Yeah the Wiimote can't be beaten for some genre's, I had that feeling after playing Excite Truck. It kills dual-analogue at FPS's too, far more accurate and realistic.

I hate my wiimotes first off the nunchuk they gave me with the system is defective the other one i bought is crap too, they get so dirty easily, u constantly have to change the batteries, thurning on additional controllers is a b!tch, Ports control terribly, and the strap is uncomfortable.

Maybe I'd hate it if I'd spent a lot of time playing the half-rate ports plaguing the Wii right now, but the only Wii games I own are Zelda and Wii Sports, and I love using the Wii-mote for those. Oh, and it rocks for playing Kid Icarus and Kirby's Adventure, too.
