Man so wish Nintendo would actively pursue & get Bioshock Infinite for Wii U, I still haven't bought it...but will soon...if I know its coming for Wii U I'd hold off my purchase..first game in a long while to make me go "Wow" when I saw the video of gameplay. So pretty. :)superbuumanIt may be pretty, but it's certainly lacking in gameplay. System Shock 2 and Bioshock are two of my favourite titles ever, and I think two of the best, but while Bioshock 1 felt like a side-step from SS2, Infinite feels like an actual step backwards. It's still great, but there's a laundry list of things that game did worse than Bioshock 1, and just didn't do well in general. I'd go into them, but it'd take a while. I'd advise that, despite all the acclaim for it, you should ratchet down your expectations. Just my opinion.
Boooooooo! Wii U version of Injustice will not be release at the same time as the other 2 (17th april) Wii U 24th april, in Australia, what a load of crap. :(
[QUOTE="AlwaysParagon"]
So then I became confused, so I decided to do some more research, apparently, not only are we not getting a demo, we are not getting any DLC, pre-order bonuses or a collector's edition. I had no words, in fact, it was quite depressing to discover.
Jaysonguy
Same with COD and other games.
This isn't new, it's been happening since launch
Yeah I was dissapointed to find out that Call of Duty Black Ops on the WiiU got shafted on practically everything.
No Streaming.
No Youtube Uploading.
No DLCs or anything.
It's not like the WiiU can't handle it either. Ubisoft so far has released ALL of their DLC for Assassin's Creed 3.
Quick update guys, apparently not only are there no lobbies in only multiplayer in the Wii U version, but also the Wii U version is not compatible with the iOS application that allows you to earn extra unlockables for the game.. Wow.Â
This is why I don't buy multiplats on Wii U.
It's for high quality exclusives.

I'm guessing SolidTy has other systems in which the multiplats can be played on. If that's the case, it's hard to see any of those games mattering as far as the Wii U is concerned. Besides, you yourself also said that 3rd parties are treating Wii U/Nintendo owners like second class citizens. If you believe that, why is it suddenly strange to see someone not buy multiplats on the Wii U itself? :P

I already owned those games before Wii U came out. If the developers don't use the Wii U in a radical way (i.e. not maps/inventory screens), I'm not buying the game again. I'm not into late ports if I already bought the game. I'm just sticking to high quality Wii U exclusive experiences. I'm not going to deal with being treated as a second cIass citizen by publishers for a late port.Batman AC, AC3, ME 1-3, and Deus Ex included (great games btw, I recommend all of them).
Wii U's Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 were due earlier in the year and I remember last year posting as a joke that those games could get delayed until Holiday this year. I sort of regret that joke now, as it seems I put a hex on Pikmin 3. :P
I'm glad gamers that never got to play those games have access to them, but I didn't spend $350 on a Wii U to play games I already own again, at full price. I own all the machines. I won't be buying late ports for 720 or PS4 either. I have too many other games to play on other machines, but I would glady put them down for Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, or some other high quality retail exclusive.
It's a bummer that the last main retail high quality 1st party game Nintendo made for me was New Super Mario Wii U. I got that last year, I wish something else was out, but in the meantime...yeah.

i will give you a free pass on batman and mass effect 3...even though should have at least bought 1...at least to see how using the gamepad for a map or incventory was like..
dues ex and ninja gaiden are major updates to past versions....why not buy those?
i am just saying some multiplats on wiiU are worth buying... you boycotting them because you played the inferior versions earlier is just making you miss out on some new experiences. what's wrong with trying an old game out with a new look? you might surprise yourself.

i just didn't like that he quoted me to prove his flawed opinion of nintendo.
You can't sell that version and Injustice unfortunately lacks certain modes on Wii U. :( In particular, the ability to battle friends according to the TC's link.
I buy retail whenever I can because for any system including Wii U because if I hate or dislike the game at least I can gift it, trade it in, or sell it and get some money back.
Digital copies you can only delete. I wrote more about that digital games vs. retail games subject in a post here.
Check it out if you ever wondered about why companies love digital sales.

My opinion of Nintendo isn't flawed.
I don't buy late ports on machines if I already own those games (unless they are super cheap). It's not a Nintendo thing, I didn't do it for Wii, PS2, GC, Xbox, 360, PS3, etc.
I will buy a an enhanced port of a game if I don't own the game. I owned all the games you listed save for NG3, which wasn't a good game.
so you never buy "game of the year" version of games?
thats basically what these wiiU multiplats are.
[QUOTE="SolidTy"]
Deus Ex will be $50 with from what I saw minor increases. The price point is a major barrier and I would rather just play the sequel at that point.
AC 3 came out a month before the Wii U even launched, and on top of that the Benedict Arnold missions were exclusive. Then factor in MP which my friends love and they aren't buying a Wii U. Off TV play is something I hate. I have a giant Plasma TV with 7.1 surround sound, I don't want to play on a tiny screen in my hand, I want the game on my Plasma at all times.
I also don't like games that use the Wii U pad for inventory or maps, I dont' feel that's a very good use of the Wii U when I can easily hit start. It doesn't change the game experience to me so that I can play late ports slightly different.
NG3 (58/100) I refuse to buy because it's a bad game when it first came out. If it had been improved enough on Wii U, I may have considered it, but alas it was only improved a bit at 69/100. Not a good deal for full price Wii U game when I have so many AAA games I have yet to play.
Maybe when I see it for under $20 and if I have the time later.
I get what you are saying about playing an old game with a new look, but I don't like paying top dollar to revisit my games. I am open minded to check out future non late ported games before I buy it. I tend not to play the same games over and over across machines these days. If I already beat DMC, I dont' want to play it again, even if slightly improved. I would if I could, play the slightly improved version first...but those games didn't offer that. They were late.
KBFloYd
ok so you have your own personal reasons for not buying multiplats on wiiU....thats fine..but dont go telling everyone else not to buy them just because you think nintendo is nothing but a mario maker.
I didn't tell everyone else not to buy them, I always was speaking for myself.
In fact, I said in this thread I am glad those games are there for those that didn't have access to them..that doesn't apply to multiplatform owners like me though.
I also don't think Nintendo is a "mario maker", in fact, I have never said that. I love Kirby, Metroid, Zelda, Mario, Fire Emblem, SSB, and many other Nintendo titles.

No, I do support GOTY games, but for a discount. The exception would be if I never bought the game in the first place, then I will buy it full price as it's new to me. That almost never happens though. Usually the GOTY editions of games come out well after I beat the game and messed with it a lot.
I do like GOTY versions, but the issue I have is they come out later and I don't like to wait.
For instance, I'm sure Injustice will have a GOTY version, but I don't see me waiting a year or whatever to play that version. So, when Injustice GOTY releases, I will wait for a discount before I rebuy it...if I do at all.
Most of my games aren't GOTY editions. I am glad though they add stuff to late ports for gamers, it's nice incentive too for gamers that want to experience the game.
My problem is there are so many games, I can't usually get around to playing GOTY later versions.
So, if Wii U multiplats could release at the same time as the regular version but be a GOTY version, I would be sold...assuming after research I like what the additions are.
Some of the games you mentioned I am not against buying on Wii U down the road, but they have to be cheap. $20 or less due to the fact I own them.
Before Wii U came out, I still applied this rule to any GOTY version of games I bought. I just have a hard time justifying buying games at full price again and again.
Even, HD releases, I buy at $20, not $40.

Yeah unfortunately I may just have to pick up this one for Xbox 360 instead, the Wii U version is simply not complete. The only people who will buy this game on the Wii U are the uninformed and the forced, besides that no one has any business doing it.

yea but he didnt even get assasins creed 3....but he had his reasons (friends dont own wiiU)
batman had a lot of changes to the costume...and some added motion controls(batarang) and off-tv play..wiiU gamepad touch screen..
ME3 was basically a cash in though..
i am just saying. if you bought a wii U why not buy at least 1 of these games to experience what wiiU has to offer?
GOTY editions don't normally cost $50.
StrongBlackVine
i think oblivion goty was 30$...the mortal kombat complete edition was 40$
10$-20$ difference isnt much money if you think about it...
its comparable but yea...slightly more expensive. thats why they are selling less too i bet.
