I already owned those games before Wii U came out. If the developers don't use the Wii U in a radical way (i.e. not maps/inventory screens), I'm not buying the game again. I'm not into late ports if I already bought the game. I'm just sticking to high quality Wii U exclusive experiences. I'm not going to deal with being treated as a second cIass citizen by publishers for a late port.Batman AC, AC3, ME 1-3, and Deus Ex included (great games btw, I recommend all of them).
Wii U's Wonderful 101 and Pikmin 3 were due earlier in the year and I remember last year posting as a joke that those games could get delayed until Holiday this year. I sort of regret that joke now, as it seems I put a hex on Pikmin 3. :P
I'm glad gamers that never got to play those games have access to them, but I didn't spend $350 on a Wii U to play games I already own again, at full price. I own all the machines. I won't be buying late ports for 720 or PS4 either. I have too many other games to play on other machines, but I would glady put them down for Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, or some other high quality retail exclusive.
It's a bummer that the last main retail high quality 1st party game Nintendo made for me was New Super Mario Wii U. I got that last year, I wish something else was out, but in the meantime...yeah.
asassins creed came out about same time as the other versions.... it has all the DLC plus it uses the gamepad for off tvplay and not sure what else...why didn't you buy this?...
i will give you a free pass on batman and mass effect 3...even though should have at least bought 1...at least to see how using the gamepad for a map or incventory was like..
dues ex and ninja gaiden are major updates to past versions....why not buy those?
i am just saying some multiplats on wiiU are worth buying... you boycotting them because you played the inferior versions earlier is just making you miss out on some new experiences. what's wrong with trying an old game out with a new look? you might surprise yourself.

Deus Ex will be $50 with from what I saw minor increases. The price point is a major barrier and I would rather just play the sequel at that point.
AC 3 came out a month before the Wii U even launched, and on top of that the Benedict Arnold missions were exclusive. Then factor in MP which my friends love and they aren't buying a Wii U. Off TV play is something I hate. I have a giant Plasma TV with 7.1 surround sound, I don't want to play on a tiny screen in my hand, I want the game on my Plasma at all times.
I also don't like games that use the Wii U pad for inventory or maps, I dont' feel that's a very good use of the Wii U when I can easily hit start. It doesn't change the game experience to me so that I can play late ports slightly different.
NG3 (58/100) I refuse to buy because it's a bad game when it first came out. If it had been improved enough on Wii U, I may have considered it, but alas it was only improved a bit at 69/100. Not a good deal for full price Wii U game when I have so many AAA games I have yet to play.
Maybe when I see it for under $20 and if I have the time later.
I get what you are saying about playing an old game with a new look, but I don't like paying top dollar to revisit my games. I am open minded to check out future non late ported games before I buy it. I tend not to play the same games over and over across machines these days. If I already beat DMC, I dont' want to play it again, even if slightly improved. I would if I could, play the slightly improved version first...but those games didn't offer that. They were late.
