I might be buying a wii but is there any good games?I like the sport game thats quite fun but when i tried red steel i didnt like it it might of been because it was too sensative can you change that and if so is it better but so far i havnt seen any good game Twilight princess was good but too easy.But so far the only good ones i have seen are party games.

Yes, I think it's worth getting. As for games, you may be interested in Metroid Prime 3, Zack & Wiki, and Super Mario Galaxy. All are great single-player games.

The two games you mentioned are a year old now :|, there is a sticky for game suggestions you should probably start there but in short the Wii now has plenty of games to warrant owning it and plenty more on the way. Im not even sure what games you like so Im not going to go into a list now.

Well, I think it'd be great to have both an Xbox 360 and a Wii. Both are solid consoles. There should be a lot of awesome games for you to choose from.

Well from one standpoint a Wii is about 2 weeks worth of wages for the average kid making minimum wage. You're now a year behind so you're going to get a little less value out of it. So you take the cost of the Wii and divide it by however long you're going to play it for... say another 4 years before the next-gen Nintendo console comes out. So $249 divided by (4 x 365) or whatever Wii costs, so it works out Wii will cost you about 17 cents per day from now until you stop playing it, not even including the cost of games.Youalsoaren'tgoingtoplayiteveryday. In the end your Wii will be literally worthless like all other consoles. But if you already own a 360 I don't think you really care if it's "worth" getting.

So really from a financial standpoint, no console is "worth" getting because it's a terrible investment. To determine it's relative worth to you, you basically have to assess how much fun you intend to get out of it, and decide if that's worth the equivalent of 17 cents per day do you (not including the opportunity cost of not having the money on hand to do other things with it.)

Simple answer: any video game system is worth it if you play it. With a combination of several AAA games out there for Wii (Mario Galazy, Zelda, Metroid, Super Paper Mario, Zac and Wiki, Marcury Meltdown, etc.), many great Virtual Console titles to down load, along with other built in applications, you can't go wrong. The same could be said for 360 or PS3 (not that the rpcie is reduced). IT just depends on what kind of games you want to play.

Man that didn't happen to me :(.

I don't know about that "consoles are not worth getting from a financial standpoint" thing... And who says he will only play it for 4 years? I still play my Super Nintendo after 11 years...

Yeah man the Wiiis a miracle for the gaming community. Buy it if you really want too have fun. As for games get Mario & Sonic Olympics, Mario Strikers( the best sports game for the Wii) and Medal Of Honor 2 looks good.

A lot of the games that came/are coming out this year are very good. Super Mario Galaxy is an excellent single player platformer. Resident Evil games are supposed to be good. Super Smash Bros Brawl (out in December) is supposed to be very good.

If you are looking for a good party game for Wii, get Wario Ware Smooth Moves.

  • Zach and Wiki
  • Super Paper Mario
  • Mario Party 8
  • Excite Truck ( i HATE racing games but i LOVE this one )
  • Resident Evil 4 Wii Editon ( Best controls of any othor one )
  • Super Mario Strikers Charged ( online )

dont forget super smash bros brawl coming soon....... aswell as mario cart wii

i think yu should get it....cuz of all the games coming out or that are already out..... like metroid prime 3 (awesome game)....smg (awesome game....).... mario strikers charged (can be fun online and stuff...).... ssbb (everyone is gonna get thaat cuz its gonna be killer)....and mario kart wii(which will have online)....

it really depends on what your going to play. I personally have been disapointed with mine- the motion sensing controls aren't anything special, sure they are extremely fun at first but that excitement wears off quic, and alot of 3rd party games have crap for controls. also the only good games pretty much are nintendo games, and thats not many. but you like simple party games, and dont mind seeing mario rescue princess peach yet again or link or samus, then get one
