I've jumped around all over the place, but since about 2010 I have owned my second DS lite, a launch 3DS, a 3DS XL, and two times now a New 3DS XL. I never owned a Wii-U, though for a brief period of time I was debating it. It is the handhelds that have kept me a Nintendo fan, and they remain my favorite game systems overall.
Switch is probably going to be my favorite Nintendo system once its library gets built up. I owned a Gamecube back at its launch, but lost interest in the Wii a short time after getting one back in 2007 - I still think some of the earliest titles on the system were some of its best ones.
I think the 3DS will be around for a while yet, but contrary to Nintendo's comments that the Switch will not be replacing their handheld line.... I'm gonna call bs, since they have used that line several times in the past. The Switch will have decent battery life it seems, and the seeds are already planted for a system that works well at home and on the go. Nintendo will likely not want to spend too much more time developing for multiple gaming systems when they can maximize offerings and profit by catering to a single system. You know it, I know it, Bob Dole know it.
