i think that we need to see a lot more wii games. maybe nintendo should just hold onto the crappy games like tennis, and baseball, and gunstar heroes (kidding). i know this year is going to have a lot of games to choose from, but i just cant wait.
VC games are nice, but they don't really stand up to the Wii games in my opinion. I've lots of VC games but that's because between the end of December & beginning of March it has been quite a large drought in Europe.
Would it had been better to save the money for Wii games instead? probably but I wouldn't have had anything to play while I was waiting.

yea, Europe got some games early. Like Wii Play and Wario Ware before the USA. But still USA got loads of more games, Trauma Center, Pangya & Metal Slug haven't even been released in Europe yet. So if you think you have a drought in USA, you should check out the drought in Europe.
And Kororinpa has been released in Europe already, probably because Hudson themselves published the game here.
All console launches have this. And this is hardly a drought. 3 months in and you guys are already complaining? You really cant stay that busy until a new game release? :P
VC games are MEANT to be in large supply. VC games have already been made, so they dont have to take the time to make them! The only reason we are seeing few wii games is because they take time. Patience is a virtue. now practice it!
The VC games are supposed to counter the drought of the Wii games. That's the goal from the beginning. Wii has been out for 3 months. Developers are surprised to see Wii to be successful. Give them time to develop games.Â
VC games are all right but mostly been there done that. More new games are coming now the drought is ending. The next month will see quite a few releases. SSX Blur, Godfather, TMNT, Paper Mario, Heatseeker, MOH: Vanguard, Tiger Woods 07, etc.
People are complaining too much. No console has ever had as strong as launch as this gen. We are getting a pretty good stream of games since launch. VC games aren't hindering wiigames, their dev time is 0, and takes ntohign away from wiigames, so its not that thier choosing to release VC games instead of Wii games, its just that there are no wii gaems to put out so they have to put VC games in to take up some time. Your just going to have to be patient. This is why i never buy systems around launch, over priced, short supply, not a lot of games, and such. But yeah, dont complain, your just gonna ahe to wait. Besides, jan/feb/mar are the worst months for games ;)

When will people get that through their heads Good job understanding his language. I can say that many people have poor taste when it comes to games because all they ever do is complain when good games are there for the taking.
I must say, a few months after the wii's launch, I am much more inclined to get a wii than I was to get a DS this many months after its launch. In fact, I didn't get a DS until April 06, a year and a half after it came out. Now THAT was a drought IMO. The Wii's already got a couple excellent titles, and more are on their way. Complaining doesn't make the games come out any faster.
I think you're being unfair. The Wii has just been released and you're complaining about shortages already? I'll tell what we should all be complaining about: VC games that suck. Urban Champion, Soccer, Baseball, just to name a few. We need Star Fox 64, GoldenEye, Killer Instinct, Street Fighter II Turbo, Mortal Kombat II, and ONLINE PLAY with the VC games. C'mon Nintendo, let's play online for semi-old time's sake.
I don't mind VC... It's just they haven't come out with any games I'd really like to download. All I want is Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario World out of whats out now. Wheres Chrono Trigger? Wheres Super Mario RPG? Wheres Majoras Mask? Wheres Super Smash Brothers? I can go on and on.

It's always nice to wait before to jump to quickly on a new system. In 2006, the 360 looked like the obvious choice. Who knows which console will really have some classics in 10 years? So, yes. It would be great to get more well made Wii games rather than flooding-the-market barely OK games... This way we'll really see what the Wii is worth.

By the time you've finished all your VC games there will be more Wii games to play.
I say why not both? Sure, there aren't any major releases like Brawl or Metroid right now, but there are some other lesser releases like Sonic and SSX Blur for people that want those. Then OoT comes out on the VC this Monday for those of you who missed it. I think we all have something to keep us busy for a while. Come April, we won't have to wait for big releases because of online support with Pokemon and Battallion Wars II among others. Â

lol is it sad that i play more VC games than regular. is it even sadder that i enjoy it more. i guess SNES games FTW. blur is coming out soon that should be good.

Think about it. There are a lot more virtual console games because thats like 4 generations of systems. Not only that: it takes longer to make more advanced games. Wii games are among the hardest games to make.

You can't expect very many actual game releases this soon after launch. I think it's a good thing Nintendo is at least using the VC to hold you over with nostalgia until some big releases come.

We, uh Wii owners shouldn't be complaining. The PS3 owners are still waiting for something, at least we had Zelda. My heart goes out to all those suffering PS3 owners. I feel for you. Don't feel bad, at least you got flow right? right?
