Thats why they put the demo for download on the Wiishop so people who have Wii's will know and the N00bz with no Wii online dont. Nintendo does not need ad's look at the sales of the Wii why advertise? they have sold 10million Wiis!!!yonnex1. therse adds for the wii
2. i doubt the wii is capable of a demo, it lacks a HDD, arguebly so does the DS, but DS games are far smaller in comparison.
yeah, im currious as well...the metroid name isnt so big its going to sell itself. its a cult hit type of thing, and like nintendo throws in my face...the wii has a casual audiance, they need to know about this game as well.
Blk-Gnome
Heh, I love the title. It seems that Blk-Gnome is curious as well. Maybe you two could meet up sometime :D
yeah and seriously I cant wait for the game.
Out on Monday arentyou guys lucky.More like 2 months for us Europeans. At least there isnt a gap for Bioshock or Mario Galaxy.
The cult followers knew it was coming out a year ago...
The majority of gamers get their news through the internet (where nintendo is advertising)...
The "casuals" have the MP3P Channel to peak their interest...
Videogames aren't like movies...they aren't cheap and can't be accessed by anyone by going to a central location for two hours. Trust the marketing that Nintendo is doing. They are hitting their target markets well and regardless of the fact that you haven't seen anything, why would they advertise now for a product that we can't buy? OR that isn't going to be available to casual gamers because everyone who is into gaming has it on reserve so there aren't any free copies available?!
The game is going to do great! Don't worry about what Nintendo is pushin'...
Well, I think that what they did for advertising actually makes sense. Everyone who has a Wii(that I know of) hastheir Wii glow when they get a message, and whenever they get a message, they get psyched, so they check it. When someone sees, "MP3 COMES OUT SOON CHECK THE VIDS AND BUY IT!" on their message after they check it, they're going to be interested. Nintendo isn't looking to sell this game to people without the consoles, and this isn't going to be a system seller, so what they did for advertising was smart. Why waste money advertising on TV when you can just let all the people you're targeting the game at know via a message on their own console?tobenator
u bring up a good point.......but wat about the ppl who dont have online for their wii??
