What version is currently available for Wii?

What type of controller do I need?

Can I play by myself or am I required to play online in a multiplayer environment?

Thanks

Call of Duty 3 is available for Wii. You use the remote and nunchuk and you can play by yourself.

Medal of Honour Heros 2 is a much better game than Cod 3 for the Wii

Call of Duty 3 is out for the Wii. You use the Wiimote and the Nunchuk in a variety of ways. There is no multiplayer whatsoever, which is understandable at the time since it was almost a launch game. Still, the 360 version has online play, so that and the improved graphics make it the best version to get.

Like WiiBaller said, Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 is way better. It has the best FPS controls on any console (arguably better than the mouse & keyboard), and features 32 player online.

Also, Call of Duty 5 is apparently coming to the Wii, but as it's being developed by Treyarch and takes place in a WWII setting, most feel like it won't be a good game, especially when compared to COD 4. I'd be one of those people.

Got my copy when I ordered my Wii bundle last year; sold it to Gamestop for money on Super Paper Mario, a MUCH better game!

I got red steel at lauch a week later I traded it in for COD3... best decision I ever made.... COD 3 does have its down sides but all in all it is still a solid game and good for a launch title.

wii = not good for fps games like cod. and fyi, cod4 on the 360 is awesome, but it's just beyond what the wii can do really.
