Is it me or are the games coming launch day for 3ds awful?

There seem to be like NO GOOD GAMES!! I was really hoping for at least a Mario game???? No Kid icarus, no mario kart, no super mario bros, no donkey kong, no metroid? WHAT IS THIS?!?!? Sports games and flight simulators and all that other crap? Seriously?

It's you. I see nothing wrong with the launch line-up, in fact it's one of the better system launch line-ups i've seen. Nintendo can never win though and evidently someone always has to whine about something. It's you.

All the Nintendo Handhelds had a "poor" launch lineup, but it would be the games that come after the launch that define the system.

Ya know, there's a difference between no good games and games that don't appeal to you. Just because the launch games don't interest you doesn't automatically make them no good. There are a lot of people here that are looking forward to a few of the launch titles.

If it makes you feel better, the launch titles don't really appeal to me either.

I'm quite pleased with the launch line-up. Most of them look to be quality titles that take good advantage of the hardware. Most new systems don't start seeing similar quality until several months after release.

i think the lineup is garbage. only game i would like to get is the new dead or alive, SF looks good but i refuse to buy that a third time. Im thinking about just preordering though to have incase its the same situation as the wii with shortages

Fortunately, I have a rather large back log of games to play through, so the launch games don't really bother me.

There are several AAA games in the launch line-up. I understand that they won't appeal to everybody, but to declare them garbage? Please.

As far as typical launch line-ups go it's fairly solid...But there's still nothing that stands out as a "system seller" to me.

I'm not interested in any of the launch games either, but I'll be getting the system early on anyway. First 3DS game I'm getting will most likely be OOT remake.

The launch line-up may be underwhelming, but it's pretty good compared to the DS' launch, and there are still many must-have looking titles coming out soon after it's launch so I won't complain.

Three Nintendo games on one day? That seems good to me.

The games coming out on launch day aregood, but they don't appeal to everyone. For instance, Super Street Fighter IV. I can't effing stand fighter games, but that doesn't mean other people won't want it. Frankly I'm bummed that I have to settle for Super Monkey Ball, but it's the only one that looks playable to me. And what's with Nintendo's pathetic first party lineup? I'd sooner wipe my butt with my 3DS than play Nintendogs and Pilot Wings.

IM not getting a 3DS until june just because thats when my birthday is. By then I really hope Zelda OoT will be out, but if its not i really want Street Fighter 4. So Just that being there makes it a good launch line up to me.

Im pretty pleased with the Launch line-up. I plan on getting a few obvious ones, such as Pilot wings, and Super street fighters. There are a few others but I dont remember what they are called. Besides, its not like you are going to be able to buy all the games that you want right from the start. By the time that you are done with the first 1 or two games that you bought, new games will be on the shelves that will satisfy your desire to game.

I think it's a good lineup. It doesn't have the one big mainstream Mario game that we can all wow over and anticipate etc, but there is a good selection of games in that lineup that I think would get between 7/10 and 9/10 in most reviews. It's slightly depressing to hear classic franchises like Pilotwings and even Street Fighter passed off as being 'awful'. Personally I'm getting Pilotwings, Nintendogs and a third game, probably SSF4 (already have it on PS3, but still tempted - especially if there are more mediocre online players such as myself). There are plenty of others I'd like to play if money weren't a constrant, like Monkey Ball, Steel Diver, Ridge Racer etc.

I think so many people are complaining because there isn't a mainstream triple A blockbuster style game in the lineup, no Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kid Icarus basically, with a flagship character. Personally the last great so-called AAA launch title I've seen is Super Mario 64 on N64, maybe Twilight Princess at a stretch, though personally I don't rave over Zelda as much as most. I like a wide range of games so for a launch it seems like a good range of games to me, much better than most launch lineups over the last 10 years or so at any rate.

The launch titles are weak. I am buying the system for the promise of Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid.

I agree with you highly. I will get the system anyway, has a lot of features to toggle with and I may try the AR games and hopefully it is allowed, will get Flipnote Studios and I will have Pokemon Black to play. So the first game I will get is probably OOT, been looking forward to that for the longest time (well since it was announced anyway)

The appeal of the launch titles is pretty limited. I'm reasonably happy, but looking at the list I can see why some people will find none of it interesting at all. It looks like Street Fighter, PES 2011 and maybe Pilotwings for me. I'll probably be happy with those.

Yeah my thoughts exactly, I believe Pokemon B/W may even have some slightly enhanced features on the 3DS, even though they will probably be unnoticeable lol. For the first time since Red and Blue I feel compelled to buy both versions just because of the way they are putting significant differences in both games. Pretty excited for them!
