If you DO want to get it.  Get it for either 360 or PS3.  Seriously.  The graphics are THAT bad.  It actually brings the game down.

Disagree.

The graphics aren't great, but the 360 graphics are poor as well.  Some texturing looks better and everything is more shiny.

The motion controls aren't revolutionary by any means, but they work very well, all mutant powers can be accessed on the fly (unlike the other systems) and I don't know what else to say, the controls were worth it to me.

The game isn't great to play by yourself but with friends, I would definitely recommend it.

The graphics are great, they only bring the game down if you're a graphic whore, the controls are good.

You're joking right?

The motion controls barely worked at all. I ended up button mashing instead because it felt more intuitive. This game is the opposite of what the Wii represents.

That said it's still an ok game except for the bomb disposal levels which barely work because they use the motion controls.

Not joking.

1.)You can still use regular control options instead of motion controls (a nice option)
2.)Combos and everything worked better with the Wiimote, and the Wiimote was very responsive, most of the time acting to by gesture.
3.)There may be only 6 gestures, but they work, mix it in with the button mashing and the game actually controls well.
4.)You'd have to be really bad not to be able to play the game well with the motion controls, cause the motions are quite simple.

But hey, its opinion I guess.  I prefered it a lot more than the 360 version (though I wish I had those downloadable characters for the Wii version)

I found the motion controls broken. Well sorta, if you did a gesture you had a 30% chance of doing the attack you were trying to do, a 60% chance of doing another attack altogether and a 10% chance of doing nothing. Although it doesn't really matter since all the attacks take off the same amount of damage and are really only there for looks. The special attack controls worked well though.

And the Graphics were good. Not amazing. Good though.

Graphics?

Ok, I pretty much don't like that game at all, it sits on my shelf and collects dust. But even then, I didn't think the graphics were that bad. Now there were some scenes (first level where you try to shoot down the dragon) which are horrible, but the rest of it seamed pretty fair.

My problem with the game was everything but the graphics. Wasn't impressed with the controls and game play was a bit boring after a while.

Just rent the bloody thing. Had some friends who were ok with the game. Just not this guy.

I liked it, but I used to collect comic books as a kid, so it's kinda my thing.

Although I rarely play it after I beat the game.

The game is pretty good. Graphically it looks nice but I've noticed it looks better the bigger the screen you have but that could be me. Text tends to be small as a result on the smaller screen. It looks like a GameCube game which isn't a problem since it comes off as a well done one I felt. Anyway controls are standard for the most part. It's the motion controls that are an issue but the game forces you to use them in some boss fights but they are simple enough. In fact as you play through it I felt the motion controls get better and more useful at times once you get used to them. It's a port but not a bad one at all.

If you are a fan of Marvel comics then pick it up. Either version is good. The only difference would be graphics but even
then the Wii version looks nice all the same. Not sure of the replayability though once you beat it. I've been trying to
unlock everything as I go and I'm still missing a lot of the single training missions for characters and some costumes.
The story is not to bad either, better then most of the recent comic stories by far I think.

I have the game ! And I have to admit...I played this game more then The Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess!! I'M not saying that Twilight Princess was weak! Twilight Princess is my favorite game on the Wii. But in second comes Marvel. I mean when you've played Twilight Princess twice...you've seen the all of the game. But Marvel is the kind of game you play more then two times. I mean there is 25 charcaters...you can only make a team of 4...You have 3 difficulties for the game...you can use your latest stats of the other games. I did the game almost...10 times...Anyways I don't understand why you say this game was not great...I think it's the best Multiplayer game!

Come on! You can't say that Trauma Center's better!! I know no one talked about it...but anyways! This game was my second game...and I have to say that I'm not bored of it...not like Super Paper Mario or Wii Play...anyways I know it's not for me to decide what you should like or not...but I have to say, Try it!

Honestly, this is my least favorite game out of all my Wii games (I have 9, but haven't played Madden yet).  The reason it is my least favorite is the fact that the controls are terrible.  They are not only tacked on, they are painfully tacked on.  It's the first time playing a Wii game that I would have prefered to have an older controller.  If you have a 360 or PS3, get it on one of those (I'm not sure if the PS3 controls are as tacked on, but I can't imagine them being worse.  This game goes against the Wii's motto of making gameplay feel intuitive.

If you don't have one of the other consoles, are a big Marvel fan, and think you can put up with bad controls, you should rent it first to make sure.  I got the game in a bundle, and the rest of the bundle was good enough to make up for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance so that I don't feel ripped off, but if you buy it, you might feel ripped off.  The basic gamplay behind the controls is good, but the controls hurt it to the point of it not being a good game IMO.

I know what you mean about taking time to get used to the controls of a game.  I have Red Steel, and it took a while to get used to those controls, but I ended up getting used to them.  But with Red Steel, the controls actually are put in there for a purpose.  You aim the gun with the Wiimote, and swing the sword with the Wiimote.  The controls in this game not only are bad, they are also pointless.  They are bad because you should be able to flick your wrist, instead of trying to move the Wiimote to the left, right, up and down while trying to keep it as straight as possible, keeping your arm as stiff as possible too.  I honestly had my arms get more sore from this game than I did from Wii Sports because of how stiff my arm had to be while moving the controller.  And the controls are pointless because you're not imitating any of the motions or anything, you're just doing small, hard to do motions, which are tacked on there to replace the buttons.  I also hate how the camera controls are set up.  When I play a game, I'm on the couch leaning against the arm of the couch, and my hand with the nunchuck in it is naturally tilted.  So I have to make a consious effort to have the nunchuck up straight, or else the camera will go all around the characters and make me dizzy while playing it.  That won't be a problem for some people, but for people like me, it's really bad.

Anyway, I will admit that I am not far into the game.  I'm just before Atlantis, and decided to play other games first (Super Paper Mario, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and going back to finish my Twilight Princess game).  I did something similar in Red Steel before getting used to the controls.  I did go back, and ended up liking it despite its faults.  However, I am a lot less anxious to go back to playing this game than I was to go back and play Red Steel.

Maybe he will like it, I don't know.  And maybe when I go back to play it (which probably won't be for a while), I'll like it.  But I say that just in case he feels like I do, he should rent it first.  And who know?  Maybe his problem won't be with the controls, but the game itself.  As I said before, I think that the gameplay itself is good, but it might not be for everybody.  So it couldn't really hurt to rent it and try it out.

The only issue I have with the camera is that you can't zoom in like in past games. Still, it really isn't that hard to keep the nunchuck in one place. I think you're putting too much unneccesary effort into the controller. Besides the "tornado" motion, everything else really is just a flick of the wrist. You don't even have to move your arm, or keep it level, or even point it at the screen. It took me the first level to get used to the controls, but it gets really fun once you've actually leveled up people. Captain America and Luke Cage get crazy-powerful.

That early in the game, the controls really aren't representitave of many moves because you don't have any moves yet. Seriously, it's pretty lame to call it the worst game you have when you've only played the 1st ;evel of the 1st of 5 sections. And yes, it is only the first level; the Helicarrier was the tutorial.

depends on what gamer you are

its basically the wii vs 360 version

controls:

-the wii has motion controller, not always accurate, but playing a game like this requires alot of sit down time, etc...so shaking about etc doesnt help, also if your the type of gamer who sits back and play its best on the 360

graphics:

-the wii is downgraded, by default since the wii isnt powerhouse, the 360 one is better.

extras:

-the 360 has a downloadable characters, extra $$ though, i find this stupid which makes me think the game was rushed.

final:

the game isnt all that great, if your a marvel fan then a must have, but its okay.

Completely agree. The x360 graphics of the game are nothing to rave about, and maybe minutely better than the wii...

My roommate bought since he's a fan of Spidey and Ironman, etc, I beat it with him on easy or normal difficulty and its pretty fun.  The graphics are good, not spectacular, but they're good enough, especially if you have component cables.  If you're a fan and have friends, I'd say it's worth a buy.
