Is my Wii messed up?

When the Wii is on is the disk insertion area supposed to stay lit up blue?Also how lond does it take to download things?

no, the light does not stay on. the light only stays on when you recieve a new message, but ur console has to be on Wii connect 24 for that.

Downloads take me around 2-3 minutes, maybe less. but really, it depends on ur connection i think. 

Your wii is normal. It's because you have a message or you're downloading an update.
