I don't think that the Wii is just for the rich people. You must be able and willingly to pay some real money, to have some particular games. But Nintendo's new strategy is to reach as many families as possible. Its a family machine and no longer just a console for the hardcore gamer. Families, especially parents, are able to spend more money on games then young children or students for example.

In the meanwhile I think the hardcore gamer has less to choose, is spending less on Wii games. But that's another discussion. I do like Nintendo because of the many different genres and games they offer. But the new approach (the family thing) means that games are getting more en more easy to play and give less challenge to hardcore gamers. Still, I prefer the Nintendo offer above other consoles. However, lately I'm more interested in other consoles as well.

In no way in that post was i knocking Wii either i just meant overall the cost has been more to me then the otehr systems. I still feel alot of Wii games should only cose 30 bucks to, as 360 games should only cost 50. PS3 is on bluray and im not smart to know if thats more...then again i use to buy super nes games for 79.99.

Most people who buy the Wii are casual gamers, who only use it for Wii Sports, Mario Kart, and Mario Party. I know because that summarizes everyone else in my family. I think your argument might be true for the hardcore fans, because they might spend more money trying new things.

and thanks, i always thought i was rich. :P
