I've been thinking about getting it. Is it any good? Also, do you know if there's any "new" version of the Wii coming out, like what they did with the "Xbox 360 Elite" or "DS Lite"?

at the moment, no. Unless Wii Sports will keep you busy for a while. In the future, Metroid prime 3, SSBB, and online capability is a yes.

The only new Wii lite is coming in Japan with the DVD playback. That's all.
