What can it be?

Probably something as cheap and effortless as the Super Mario All-Stars Wii port, but it's nice to know that they're acknowledging Zelda's 25th anniversary.1PMrFisterIt took them long to celebrate ANY anniversary of Zelda. They didn't in 2006.

Good to hear, but i sure hope they dont pull a zelda 3ds bundle out of the wood work right after i bought a regular 3ds, that would just irk me to no end and it always seems to happen.
I was hoping they'd do something for metroid too would of been cool to have a mario, metroid and zelda 25th anniversary boxes next to each other, but I guess not. Hope it's something cool even if it is just the old zeldas on a disc I haven't gotten play them yet.

Maybe a repressing of one of those GC Zelda compilations with an art book and soundtrack
Four Swords Adventures.Rod904SA remake with online for the 3DS. damn you people making me hype things that will never happen >______________________> then again, i didn't think megaman legends 3 would ever happen, and i even joked about it... the day before it was announced. but it would be cool if nintendo did like capcom does with megaman anniversaries: release a s***load of awesome games in a single year, all with a nice slogan on the cover.
What if...what if.....we all get coupons to get Skyward Sword for free on launch?! The coupon would come with a note that says: 'For supporting Wii all these years, we at Nintendo would like to give you this coupon as a symbol of our appreciation and love for you.'
I'm kidding of course
Anyways, who knows what we will get.
I'm hoping they do a slight remake of the original Legend of Zelda on Wiiware or retail. It would be nice if it at least looked 16bit. I don't want a compilation as all those games are already available on the VC or the Gamecube collectors edition. It would be pointless, at least Allstars were remakes of the NES Marios so it was worth it, although it should have been a bit cheaper.
"Aside from a logo that tells us little more than the fact that it's something to do with the Zelda franchise, we only know that Miyamoto himself is working on it, and that gamers will see what it is this year."IGNmaybe they are making some effort this time around?

Um that's not even remotely true, the Zelda games(outside of the less than popular Zelda 2) have a huge following and if they were going to do a collection, obviously they couldn't do it without the game that came out 25yrs ago and the others would be there as well. Most likely not a game collection, due to the fact that the well known ones are in 3D and the NES ones are less mainstream. I sense... the early release of Skyward Sword?

You should probably take that sense-o-meter in to get checked :P
That's awesome, I was hoping Nintendo would do something for Zelda like they did for Mario.
I'm guessing a green Wii bundle that comes with Wii Sports and Twilight Princess and a green Wiimote, same colored DSi XL bundle with the Triforce, Master Sword, Hylian Shield and possible a Fairy or some other design on the front like what they did with the red DSi XL for Mario and a re issue of The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition that was released for the Gamecube and will also come with an Art Book and History DVD.
It'd be nice if they didn't do the exact same thing that they did for Mario but those seem like the most logical things they'd choose to do. Whatever they do though I'm sure it'll be awesome.

A four swords remake would be amazing.... seriously. It would be like the NSMBwii version of Zelda :D
perhaps a Zelda Trilogy?meetroid8Which three games would be included? The Wand of Gamelon, The Faces of Evil, and Zelda's Adventure.

um...Zelda Collection > Super Mario All-Stars.
this is a fact of mine. I'd rather re-buy Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, Zelda 2 and Zelda than the first 3 Mario Bros and the Lost Levels.

A Zelda 1 remake that's a 3rd person, achievement-heavy, MMO, card-based, turn-based, co-op, survival, old-school, new-school, sandbox, dungeon-crawling, map-making, match-3, DLC, steampunk, story-based, game-play focused, 2D, 3D extravaganza.so_hai
I just exploded.

The game could have easily been done using the GC controller for multiplayer. But instead, they decided to force connectivity. Same with 4 swords though it was pretty neat in that game. I'd still preferred if they gave the option to use GC controllers. If they decide to bring back 4 swords, they should make sure its on DS or 3DS. The dual screen seems perfect for keeping track of your buddy on the bottom screen in case you split up or mapping out boxes on the touch screen for your items. With the built in microphone, it makes it even more possible to play online in a cooperative kind of way. Or go up against each other....

But I agree with you that it was a bit underused, very well done, but not enough to justify the mandatory hardware. Missed potential. With that said, I would LOVE to see what can they do with a Wii game with DS or 3DS's as controllers, with no differnces between both of course. If they make a really big effort, it would justify that scheme. Think about it, many people have DS's now, you wont need special accesseries as the GC-GBA link cable, as the DS can connect wirelessly to the Wii; and now with the release of the 3DS more potential "controllers" would be on the market. Which brings the question... can the 3DS connect to the Wii like the DS does?
Eh, it won't be anything special.
Although, I guess Miyamoto is working on it personally, so he may have an interesting thing to add to it.
I would like it if they went really big on this one. All the Zelda games in a box set plus some books, artwork and all the other goodies. Yes it would be expensive but I would buy it. TheColbert
This. I would LOVE a disc jam packed with games, art, music and such and if it is loaded I would pay a nice chunk of money for it :).
A re-release of the CDi games.

Which brings the question... can the 3DS connect to the Wii like the DS does? true, amazing games (crystal chronicles is one of my favorite gamecube games) came out from the connectivity, but it still is limiting the true potential. finding 4 DS owners (or 3 others, in my case), just to play a game, is quite a nuisance.
