It's a hard and kind of long game, it was the first game I ever beat on my NES. You start as a young and simple little angel and as you progress in the game you get new wings, new armor, new arrows and new shields. It's a great game, definately a NES Classic that NEEDS badly to be reborn again!!!
I had never really heard of Kid Icarus until it was announced that Pit would be in SSB:B. People started talking about it coming to VC and a possible sequel for the Wii. It looks like a fairly interesting game, but I was wondering if anyone could explain to me what it is about and why it is considered such a great game. Thanks!Ren_Hoek_09I think most of you missed the point of his post. He knows many people thinks it's good, but why is it considered good? Someone wrote it's like Metroid, that's helpful, however, more info would be nice. Is it like a world system? After you beat a few levels do you fight a Medusa or Ogre like creature? Is there much story etc...
Probably one of the (if not THE) hardest games i have ever played. I beat it and literally jumped up in the air and scared my dog....that is back in the early '90s and i was like 8.
so it is possible to beat, but it is really really really freakin hard
the passwords are the only way i think. kudos to any mortal that can beat it in one sitting on one life.
really cool final level...the treasures can FINALLY be used. soooooooo satisfying!

There is a short list of games that I have been checking each week to see if they come out...and this is one of them.Â
One of the best games on the NES, not as hard as it is being made out to be (although by today's standards it would be considered somewhat difficult).Â
It is hard to explain why it is so well liked other than saying "it was fun". Basic concept, standard game play.
I don't know how well it sold, but I never thought of it as a cult game, everyone I knew liked it.
...but there one was one thing...Eggpland Wizards...one of the goofiest enemy attacks ever, yet it worked somehow.
