I haven't played the new Kid Icarus yet, but I seriously doubt it comes anywhere near touching the quality of Eternal Darkness.

I think Eternal Darkness could do more interesting things with the controller using the sanity mechanic.

Eh, how about another horror game with a different premise and not just a sequal.

Eternal Darkness. Kid Icarus has made a return. Time to bring another franchise back into the fold.

Kid Icarus, as Silicon Knights is no longer capable of making decent games. Besides, unless they came up with different methods of scaring the player, I fear a sequel to it would be redundant.

Eternal Darkness It doesn't need to be an actual sequel. It may take elements from the first one in a whole new story. The game is pretty much based on a enormous universe from the fantastic horror creations by Lovecraft and is easy to devise a bunch of new games with great story. I would like the fighting mechanics to be updated too and, perhaps, more RPG elements added Regards

As much as I think Eternal Darkness is a master piece, I just got this attitude like it wouldn't work anymore. I mean, I would love to see new time periods explored and I know that Nintendo could always get a new company to make the game (correct, because if they can't, I would not want to play it since that means Silicon Knights would be making it). I honestly think we should let this magnificent gem be left untouched by sequels and the new generations. I would much more like to see the Kid Icarus series be a new big time Nintendo series, on par with Mario, Zelda, and the rest. I feel like Kid Icarus Uprising tried too many things all at once and doesn't really have its own formula for games. I would also like to see the series be on the console to give it some new and more advanced features.

Perfectly put in my opinion. Eternal Darkness is one of those games which no other game can be like or have a sequel because "it would be redundant". (a bit ironic)

Okay, ED2 is redundant because... we already have so many adventure games that spawn their settings over different history periods in a single game with huge amount of detail?

ED2 would be cool. Just come up with different spells and different historical settings. Maybe do even a whole different family bloodline with different cultural origins. Keep the gods the same though

I can't see a sequel to ED being good in this day and age. I would probably just want a HD remake of ED. Another Kid Icarus would be cool to although I don't have a 3DS so my experience is from the NES classic lol.

After playing Kid Icarus Uprising, I'd definately have to go with that series. I had Eternal Darkness back on the gamecube and just couldn't get into it that much.
