[QUOTE="Minishdriveby"][QUOTE="alia999"] i wrote a review on phantom hourglass displaying what i honestly thought of it.

i believe most reviewers are lowering its score down for the flaws it DOES have, but what they arent doing, is really thinking about it. yes, the touch-screen can SOMETIMES be niggly, yes- the temple of the ocean king isnt too great (though now ive gotten through with a great time i seem to like it more lol), and YES- the game is more linear and easy than usual (though you should be able to completely understand that as its a handheld game supposed to be more accessible). BUT, reviewers giving it a 9 and below dont seem to see the whole package for what it is, and its a DS GAME. the epic sense of scope is something unlike any other on the patform, it uses the innovations intuitively, the graphics are superb, and the musical score unrivaled on the DS. dont just look at the flaws, but see the whole thing for what it is. the problem is, when phantom hourglass is compared with some DS games that some reviewers have rated higher then it- the others just pale in comparison. o i dont think its the best zelda ever, or even in the top three to be honest, but its a damn great game.
^addressed to all those reviewers giving itlow scores (1up gave it an 8, as did gametap, and play magazine- to name a few. thats not funny.)

i reviewed it too, and gave it a 9.0.
9's not bad seeing as it really is streamlined. but still comparing it to other ds games getting 9's is blows them away. in all honesty, my proper score would be around 92%-94%, but obviously gamespot doesnt let you do that anymore (just out of interest, i did a review on wind waker and gave it 96%). really when you just stop and look at the whole package- , the genius dungeons (though they may be linear, they are still genius), the epic scope (for a DS GAME!), the great musical score, the jaw-dropping graphics (for a DS game), its hard to give it less than a 9. their may be flaws, but they are made up for. i guess im going on another rant, but i mean- nintendo-world-report gave it 75%...
EDIT: to the guy who posted above me: ts pretty simple really, draw a line in your map between the pub and the temple of the ocean king, and set the beam of light from that stone head thing in the same direction (northwest if i remember correctly), when shining there, you'll know where to bomb.
yeah like nintendogs! lol, i think that was given a 9.1 because it was some new and innovative to show the potential of ds. But it hasnt really stood the test of time.
