Now is the time to start letting them know that we want it on the Wii. KOF 13 is on the way to arcades this summer as the teaser site states:

KOF 13 Teaser

Yes my fellow KOF Fans out there, the Fiery Shiranui Assassin is back with a vengeance and she's FINALLY got Andy backed up into a corner. That Alone makes it worthwhile to me seeing as Mai Shiranui is in fact my favorite KOF/Fatal Fury character. There's additional info on the Site about KOF but for those too lazy to find it on their own, here's the Link to it:

KOF 13Additional Info (Sorry no screenshots or anything, just strictly info)

I've been waiting on a new KOF for a while and KOF 12, while I did like the engine and such, the unfinishedness was kind of a letdown. Knowing SNKP, they won't make that same mistake again so I'm expecting KOF 13 to be the game that they were hoping KOF 12 would be.

Now, how do we let them know that we want it? Simple, go to their site, click that link that says "Contact Us", and tell them that the Wii is the place to Be. Come on Fellow KOF Wii fans, let SNK know that it is wanted, and the Cla$$ic Controller Pro would be perfect for it. Online Play is a must for all fighting games now so that's a no brainer.

*Now just watch somebody post something thathas no businessin this topic like "I don't want KOF on the Wii", "The online in KOF 12 was horrible"or something similar as if they can't fix the online. The topic clearly states Let's TRY to", now just watch somebody post a comment that goes against what the topic is about*.

(Update Trailer and Gameplay Videos)

  • Gameplay - Kinda Long, Quality isn't greatest but decent enough
  • Trailer - Kinda Short but get's the point across and it is going to be HUGE!!!

Afterwatching the KOF 13 intro and seeing the gameplay videos, KOF 13 will definitely be a finished game. This game will be what SNKP wanted KOF 12 to be which is awesome!!! Will be buying on whatever system it comes out for.

KoF 13 looks to be shaping up nicely, and will be a much needed "fix" after the horrid KoF 12 let down. But wanting it for the Wii is simply asking too much. It's just like asking for Street Fighter 4 on the Wii. In it's current form, KoF 13 wouldn't work on the Wii. They would have to water it down, making it too inferior for people to want it over the HD versions.

i dont think so. 12 didnt require any kind of horsepower whatsoever , as it was well documented. The only system unable to run it properly was the PS2 in terms of requirements. Is a different story from SF4 , a game that Capcom themselves said it could be done on the wii if they wanted.

You want this game. You can play it on a different system. I'm sorry you didn't pick the console with the games you really want. You can always change that by getting another system because these threads are pointless and never work.

Erm if you guys have been following KoF series you would know KOF12 is the first to change in term of graphics...THO NOT MUCH CAN BE SAID for the HORRIBLE (just to avoid being moderated) GAME it turned out to be...KOF12 graphics the Wii can handle with ease...background animation for KOF12 was woeful...

If KOF13 is anything like 12 in graphics Wii can handle it with ease

LOL. I feel sorry for you and at the same time sad. It's 100% sure that if you don't get a PS3 or 360 you won't play this game. It is like Street Fighter IV. That's why i have a second console besides my Wii. Oh and i forgot to mention that SNK has already announce that it will be coming shotly afte the arcade lunch only for PS3 and 360.

Try before talking. Actually the game is pretty good, fast and fun. The problem it have is the online mode and lack of online modes.

Dude you need to infor yourself before talking. KOF12 sprites are from the ground up made in HD unsing much powerful hardware. Go and play a Wii Guilty Gear game and the put KOF12 to see what i am talking.

They can use whatever sprites they want...the end results does not show much because I cannot see on screen. The graphics has been improve yes..but its not something SO overwhelming that Wii cannot do/handle it. To me it looks like an improvement from Garou Mark of the Wolves style graphics.

Incase you're wondering..I just dislike ppl dismissing Wii straight off..just because the word HD is involve..

PlasmaBeam44
Haaaa!!!! Good try. I agree that most times threads like this don't work but I must inform you that I've seen it work first hand. I used to be an avid member of the Official SNK forums until they shut them down. When KOF 2006 was announced, there were threads all over the place about who should be in it and low and behold, I put Fiolina Germi from Metal Slug and guess what, Fio was playable in KOF 2006 so yes, I know that threads like this have a high failure rate but dag gonit if I'm not going to try to get the word out about it. KOF is my favorite fighting franchise and I'd be exstatic if it got a Wii release. You'd most likely get it too then I could whoop your tail all over the place with whomever I see fit. People like you make me laugh because yall are the main ones that say stuff like "It'll never happen and such" yet when it actually does happen, yall are the first ones preordering it. Why is that? @elbert_b_23 I was with you up until you made that comment. There is NO way that you can say that KOF isn't a good franchise. If it wasn't a good franchise, how is it more popular than even Street Fighter in Japan? How is it that a not great franchise made over 12 games and still have an ever growing fanbase? I like Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, Art of Fighting, Buriki One, Last Blade and more as their own franchises as well but there is no way I can say KOF isn't a good franchise. I agree that KOF 12 wasn't finished, but the part that was finished was highly enjoyable. The engine is solid, the 3D character models with 2D overlays were brilliant, the effects were great, the complete overhaul of the characters was a nice touch and more. But one game doesn't defile the entire series of KOF by any means and I honestly believe that KOF 13 will be the game that KOF 12 shouldv'e been.

Dude you need to come down from the clouds and admid these kind of games are not coming to the Wii. Oh and the graphics aren't just an improvement from Garou Mark of the Wolf, you probably see them this way because of your TV quality, just live with it, the Wii can't handle every kind of 2d graphics like BlazBlue, KOFXII not even SFIV. My recommendationfor you is that if you really want to play these games go and get a PS3 or 360. If you are a kid who can't afford to get one then start saving it will be worth the money.

Just throwing this in, Capcom stated themselves that they could make SF4 on the Wii. Not saying I care about SF4 on the Wii at this point, just pointing out that simple fact. If they said it could be done, then it could be done.

Yeah they could make SFIV and can make any other game like all other franchises available for all platform. The only difference is that the Wii version end being a downgrade.

Not a ground up game for the much more capable wii hardware. Is like saying that since you can play Mario Bros 3 on the wii viaVirtual console, that game is pushing wii to its limits.KOF 12 is a very low demanding game (compared to current gen games)that involves much lesser proccessing power than TVC. The only constrain is the 480p, not "proccessing needs".

is cool. KOF 12 did suck in the opinion of the vast majority(sorry i know some people like it but im among the consensus). it was the worst KOF in the entire series. Blaz blue is actually nice but i still like more the dynamics of TVC.

The Wii can only make the kind of 2d graphics available for the original Xbox wich aren't that different than the ones found in Guilty Gear.

then make a "let's try to get MVC3 on wii" topic :P i'v never been good with 2D fighting games, they've always been too complex to me... until blazblue. 4 attacks VERY DIFFERENT from each other, simple combos (most of them), intricate system, and no clones (i still laugh at my friend that insists that SSF4 isn't full of clones :P). ironically, i don't own it (had to rent it every time i played). i'm definitely getting continuum shift, though.

I think you're getting hung up on the idea that KoF 12/13 is using 2D sprites. Guess what? To get 2D sprites looking that good, it actually takes MORE processing power than running a 3D game like Tatsunoko. Let me put it this way: Remember the old NES days when too many things got on the screen and the game slowed down? That's because the system was processing more sprites than it could handle. This is exactly what would happen on the Wii with KoF 12/13. KoF 12/13 uses HD sprites. Remember that 2D sprites are like flip books. When each sprite is loaded, every single frame needs to load. The Wii simply can't handle it, as KoF 12 sprites use WAY more frames than previous 2D fighters. Now, can it be adjusted to work on the Wii? Sure. But they will have to bring a lot of the detail down, resulting in an inferior version compared to the other consoles. That would be fine to Wii only owners, but people who have more than one system will purchase the HD version of the game, meaning the work the spend porting it to the Wii probably wouldn't be very profitable. Companies don't do things that *might* be profitable, they do things they KNOW will be profitable. This is why KoF 12 was not on the Wii and it's why KoF 13 will not be on the Wii. Does it suck? Yup. I don't own the other consoles, either, and I love KoF. I was so happy they chose to stick with 2D Sprites to show the world how good 2D can still look. Now hopefully they don't rush 13 out the door like they did with 12 (crappy net code and no end boss, what?) and save the series from destruction. Another bomb like 12 will push the game into obscurity/niche status, and future installments may never happen.

I'll be happy with only KOF 2002. They could give us KOF Clones Saga 99-2001 (and throw in 2002 like they gave us 98 in Orochi saga.

That's a perffect explanation. Sadly many Wii only owners are still waiting for a game like this and they won't get it until the arrival of a Wii sucessor. That's why i have my Wii for Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Smash Bros. etc and a PS3. If fighting games you like then you need to get PS3 or 360 to be alongside your Wii.
