How do you feel about Luigi's recent character traits being that of a scaredy-cat? I feel like he doesn't have to be the most serious character, but when you see Mario's stern fighting faces, then go back to see Luigi cowering in a corner somewhere writing Super Luigi 64 (Paper Mario refernce), it seems Luigi isn't taken seriously enough. Luigi's Mansion was a good-selling game though and his timid character did kind of fit him. But without contradicting myself too much, I think Luigi should be made to be just a tad more serious. Comments/opinions?

Luigi as anything but a cowardly comic relief would seem wrong... but he does get the courage when he needs it the most.

Everyone has different personalities.

Luigi is a bit more anxious about a lot of things but he still gets the job done.

No, I think Luigi's personality is some times funny and it makes him unique. Nintendo should keep him like that.

You should play Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. They really pick on Luigi in that game. Its pretty comical though.

Luigis portrayal as being somewhat cowardly dates back, I think, as far as his appearances on the Super Mario Super Show and while I can't say when they injected this cowardly personality into his game character - well cowardly was a trait I just sort of associated with him thanks to the show and that was over a decade ago.

I think there are many other people who're in the same boat and Nintendo knows this, so it's been how they've treated him in their games in recent years. It's what makes Luigi well, Luigi rather then 'Green Mario'.
