They could have easily included a mode to make the players look deformed but instead we get a whole game based around it. When i heard 'genre defining art style' i was expecting something cel shaded or never seen before but oh well, i dont really care for the sport anyway.

EDIT: Before i was talking about the trailer which was quite zoomed out and all i could make out was DK mode. The characters in the link look much better but i still think they could have gone with a better style.

not too bad, but kinda funny though since this will probably be the biggest change this franchise has had in a while since almost every version is very similar with only slight tweaks.

I don't see what the problem is. I actually kinda like it. EA sports games are too serious (at least to me), and the only people I ever talk to that play the games are die hards. I've been away from the EA sports games for quite some time now, but I don't mind the "realistic-cartoonish" appearence at all.

I disagree, it will probably sell just a bit more or a bit less than normal. I mean other than the graphical style it seems to be about the same.

After just watching the trailer for the Xbox360/PS3 version, they don't look that great either. The environment looks good but the players detail looks bland. All three look bad.

It does look bad, and playin Madden on the Wii is the best!

madden has and always will suck, they have milked it to the max, there is nothing left, do they understand that quitting is an option.

As a Madden 09 owner on Wii let me say THOSE TEXTURES LOOK 100% BETTER. Want proof... Honestly EVERYTHING about 2010 looks better.

You have to have rocks in your head to think 09 looks better...

I like it! Of course, if the rest of the game is as ridiculous as previous Maddens, I probably won't be buying it anyway. The series needs more than a facelift to make me happy.
