This might be a really dumb question and it's been asked tonnes of times before but I'm going on holiday in a few days and I've just got a 3DS for my graduation. I already have a first generation DS and I was wondering if I can play Mario Kart DS with my 3DS via download play? i.e. multiplayer with only one cartridge. I'm low on cash and I'm not ready to shed out for Mario Kart 7 and not be able to play multiplayer with my old DS and I've just seen Mario Kart DS on sale. Hope this makes sense. Cheers in advance.

Yeah a 3DS is compatible with DS download play through the regular download play app on the homescreen. It has a DS option which kinda fills me with nostalgia as it loads up the same download play screen the DS had.
