Mario Kart Wii Multiple Players

I bought Mario Kart Wii and made my license and got myself online. It works great and I love it.

My wife made a license and also enjoys playing and has played with me online, but as a "guest".

Is there any way to for my wife to have her own FC and not be a "guest" when playing online?

Thank you for your reply! I have been away and just read it today. It is a shame two people can not compete on-line at the same time. The Guest player can have some great races and it will not count for much. Thanks again for the explanation.
