No online = No buy, I'll just wait for Mario Party 9 next year. ;>DKII

I agree....:(
I don't care at all that this game isn't going to be online. I play these games with my wife, kids and family, not random people I don't know. Those games generally aren't fun, because the people who play online are only looking to win and better their "RANK" on some leaderboard. Games like Mario Party are meant simply to have fun, not show how good you are at a "VIDEO GAME". smileyryder34
Let me pre-empt my statement by saying I believe everyone has a right to their opinion about what they want in a game or want out of a game and how they want to play it....
That said, I believe with you completely. ALOT of onliners like to play that way to get easy wins to better their rank, and if they're not playing well, then they d/c. It's the nature of the beast with online games whether most her do it or not. It does happen too much. T o play a board game like MP8 online, how boring to sit there like a slave, staring at the screen and waiting and waiting for the other person to make a move or do whatever.
I woudl rather play it at home with friends and family.
But thats just my opinion.

Not some random person halfway across the world.

I emailed Nintendo directly to ask what was going on and I finally got a response.
Hello and thank you for contacting Nintendo,
I would be glad to answer your question.  Currently, Mario Party 8 is scheduled for release on April 29th.
For future reference, our website's Game List (http://www.nintendo.com/gamelist) represents the best place to find the most accurate release dates.  Once there, click "Show advanced filtering" and use the dropdown menus to narrow your search based on system, publisher, number of players, etc.
When you have filtered your search, click on the game's title to see all the available information.  If what you seek is not yet available, please check back later. When there is new information to share on announced games or other upcoming products, our website is the best official source!
 Â
Remember, any posted release dates are estimates and subject to change.  As a product's estimated release date approaches, you may wish to check with your local retailers to see when it may be available in your area.
Sincerely,
Nintendo of America Inc.
David Glover
April 29th is a Sunday and May 29th is a Tuesday so I am thinking it more likely will be in May.
