metroid prime 3 - buy it now

I have never played the first or second mp games but have heard good things about them. Mp3 came out with a lot of hype and good reviews but i still didn't get it. I get tired of first person shooters fairly quickly and this looked like another one but more colourful... i was wrong.

Bought it 4 days ago second hand and my only regret is that i didn't get it sooner. People are not exaggerating when they say its in a class of its own and a first person adventure then just a shooter. These are some things which make the game stand out for me and has me preying a MP4 comes out (even though i have heard it wont happen).

• Graphics - My goodness this game in motion looks damn good. Bloom lighting is everywhere and the artistic vision is fantastic.
• Explore - Look around. Find secret areas or just enjoy the scenery. Re-visit areas after getting a weapon upgrade to gain access to areas you couldn't access before.
• Game-play - As fun as any hardcore fps you can think of. Fight differently depending on the enemy instead of it feeling all the same.
• Controls - It is so smooth its wrong! Aiming feels great and there's a nice amount of options to customise things.
• Music - Just plain sexy, lol. Really good and well suited.

• Regrets- Your only regret will be that it took you so long to get it.

I played Metroid Prime then my GC and games were stolen so I skipped on Metroid Prime 2.

I bought a Wii and Metroid Prime 3 (signed by a few designers) on release. I started replaying it after beating Okami, but....

I just bought Metroid Prime 2 and I'm having a great time! I'm about to go to a pawn shop and purchase Metroid Prime to have the complete trilogy.

No, because its a trilogy, there are already 3 games, so no 4. Retro also said they wanted to take a break from the series and create some new games. If there is any kind of sequel, it won't be from Retro, and won't be in the near future.

You did not just call Metroid's story "campain". Its not a "campain" mode, its the foundation of what makes the game great. "Campain" games are trite mode's like Halo's, MOH's, and Gear's story mode that's little more than throwaway garbage to train you for the multiplayer.

I know Metroid isn't some grand story that defines our time, but calling it a campain is little different than spitting on its concept. I honestly believe its a term thats killing the industry.

wow calm down...i still loved the...ermm..."storyline"...i just think they couldve added something, not necessarily a online multiplayer, but something. It is still one of my favorite games, but i feel like it has no replay value

Whats so wrong with trying to conserve ammo...? everyones complaint about Prime 2 was the Dark/Light world made things confusing...i found it to pose a challenge which was extremely enjoyable and balanced.

The Boss battle in Prime 3 are the best in the series and the controls were amazing...i'll give the game that. But otherwise, everything else just didn't do it for me.

I didn't say they were terrible games, I enjoyed the Halo games as well as Gears. But I do have the right to feel insulted when they promise a story that's always the focus of the previews, and get shafted because Bungie and Epic only know how to make multiplayer entertaining. They make campain modes to train you for their multiplayer portion, when they should be making stories that make their universe feel alive and interesting.

what? the first boss was fairly straight forward, It's the shoot 'till he die kind of boss, of course, you still need to shoot at the right places. Scan him, and find out his weaknesses.
