probably cause he disagrees with you about ign giving good reviews since they gave MPH a 9.0. I agree that MPH is rubish, and ign can sometimes boost up ratings (ive noticed a couple of times) but i still prefer reading there reviews then gamespot's.

New Super Mario Bros. a 9.5 when it doesn't deserve a point over 9.0...Metroid Hunter a 8.5 which I thought was rubbish, smae with Nintendogs getting 8.5

Not to mention all these Wii games, Excite Truck/Wii Sports/etc. an 8.5 is way too high...considering how short and shallow the games are...Sonic getting an 8.5...wtf...so short and not that great.

I'm shocked TP didn't get a 10 to be honest.

Shadow the Hedgehog an 8, Pokemon XD and Battalion Wars an 8.5 which are sub-par games at best, Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon was utter crap and it got an 8...

I could go on and on but you get the general gist of it, heavily biased and overrated.

I'd take IGN's reviews the best (although sometiems inflated - not too thrilled with a 9.5 for elite beat agents..)..and Game Informer's are decent, except GI is the opposite- a little biased against Nintendo games and way too inflated on sports and shooters.

While BW isn't a good example because it scored high everywhere, I agree with him that it isn't that good. In fact, I thought it was lame at best.

Of course some people are going to disagree with it, but I'm just doing the general "main population". But perhaps BW isn't the best example on there.

Like for example, I love Baten Kaitos, and pretty much hate Mario Sunshine...but the general reviews don't reflect that.

Metroid prime hunters has awesome multiplayer, and still probably the best FPS on a handheld

that's why it got high reviews, but compare any FPS on a handheld to a console one and they look like tripe

a 10 from NP doesn't mean it's getting a perfect score since they don't run on a point by point method, they run on half points (1 - 1.5 - 2 - 2.5 etc.)

it just means that it is better than 9.6, GS would do it as well if it was technically better than 9.6

the original metroid prime got 9.7 on here and nintendo power gave it 5/5 it's exactly the same

Yes, NP is a teensie bit biased considering it's NINTENDO Power.

I thought MP:H was an okay game, just not a good concept. Leave shooters for the consoles, not the handhelds.

Metroid Hunters overrated? Almost every critic practically did. You can't hide from the fact that Gamespot gave a similar score to that, and IGN gave it an even higher score. I agree NP overrate's Nintendo games way to much, butin some casesthey're truthful, however. The Shadow the Hedghog case...I find that review hard to believe, but that review was late and he read all of the other reviews and seemed pretty mad that the other people for under rating it for reasons.

btw, EGM/1up either underrate's their games, or overrates them. If there is anyone who gives out the most 10's, it's EASILY EGM/1up.

I don't think NP is biased. There are alot of games that they gave bad reviews for. Mario Party 8 got a bad score from NP--where's the bias in that? I think NP is a legit source.

BW was unplayable at best that annoying giraffeneck girl constantly speaking in that super irritating voice actually made me stop playing the game. You want to be a foot soldier join the army! the more people that do the less chance I'll be drafted in 3 years

Its still a valid source they gave Zelda TP a 9.5 and RE4 a 9. They also give very simular scores to games reviewed here on GS.wooooode

I never thought I'd see NP give a game a 10. At times they can be pretty stingy with their scores. Then again, other times they have been quite wrong, but it's been awhile.

I'm not sure if they've ever given a game a 10.

im saying compared to others it was the most linear, has the crappiest bosses, DOESNT EVEN HAVE METROIDS, and when it first came out everyone was praising the Multiplayer, but thats been ruined by all the hackers so really its an okay game but comapred to the rest of the series its sucks they should stick to 2d on the handhed. Also all metroids games havent gotten AAA fusion got an 8 something and that was linear too but much better then Hunters
