A 10 MONTH DELAY JUST TO POLISH THE GAME?? MY @$$!!!! I know they did something in the realm of multiplayer or online capabilities. Seriously, Some games ARE made in the span of 10 MONTHS, so I know they did something.

But As Most people have said Metroid is a game focused on the 1st player experience, It would be great online and even off.

HerbSewell

Yes, there we go. More biased "commonsense" to keep this thread going and repeating itself.

Why do you say its Biased? Do you even know wether I lean towards one side or another in this situation? And Can you argue a 10 MONTH delay just to polish the game? I doubt it, Im not arguing there is going to BE online multiplayer, I specifically said "MUltiplayer" or "online capabilities."

"I've chosen my words carefully Persian, you should have done the same " :P just joking but if you did'nt recognized it that was from The 300.

I'm saying biased because you obviously won't just drop the idea that there is going to be multiplayer. By on-line capabilities, the only thing one could hope for is the WiiConnect24 feature.

Then you obviously do not know the definition of Biased so either look it up and use the word properly or stop using it at all.

Anyways, as most of the people here said that is a VERY old article, 6 months before the Wii was released, it is now 7 months after the wii was released, so its practically a 13 month old article. I don't think we can trust something like that as a "reliable source".

No, I am using the word correctly. You were biased because you want and don't deny the fact that there could be on-line multiplayer; Ergo, you were biased in your interpretation of why the game is taking so long to refine.

Ha! You are mistaken AGAIN!!!!! I never said there WILL be online multiplayer. This will be my second time saying this, I Specifically said "i know they are going to do something in the realm of multiplayer OR online capabilities" the word were never put together and trust me there will be SOMETHING in the multiplayer and online department, If they decide to put them together thats even better.

So you still used the word wrong

With the last two Prime titles on Gamecube, I knew they were excellent games, I just didn't buy them. Even after playing both first hand and experiencing them for myself. Corruption does look good, and I was leaning towards buying it, but the online was really something I was looking forward to. It doesn't seem like Nintendo is really taking advantage of online, and it's why I only turn my system on for a few minutes a week to check on VC titles. To which I haven't seen a game in months worth buying. Nintendo knows their system isn't the powerhouse of the market, but not using the system to it's full potential is really starting to bother me. I need more replay value in my Wii games, I'm not dropping money on a game for a single play through. If things keep up like this, I'll have to come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a good new system, and that the business is too busy kicking out the older games for a new profit. I may just stick with my Neo-Geo.nekrotaunter

You must have missed the fact that the article is over a year old, it is definently up in the air about online or offline multiplayer. Also Nintendo has two online games coming out over the next month, with Prime and Brawl both believed to also have this feature. Then there are several 3rd party games to feature online, so do someresearch. Also I dont know about you but the single player is the most important part of the game, I wouldnt buy a game for multiplayer. While personally it doesnt matter either way to me, because I know Corruption will be an amazing game. I dont think people can just claim that the game wont feature online or any multiplayer based simply on that article.

Why would they list it as 1 player in the April article then?

I'm sorry but everyone needs to get out with this crap. The ign you posted was last year and also you posting that gonintendo isn't doing anything because they just based the fact sheets off of what they know last year of it and this year. Which means it could have been taken out or something could have been put in. So anything could have happen that wasnt showed or telled from nintendo.

if i bought this game it will be lying down somewhere around my house like prime 1 and 2. i know i'll get bored of prime 3 even if it is great game. i mean playing it over and over after you beat the game, for me, isn't worth $50.

The Wii has enough multiplayer games on it already.

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption should only have an excellent single-player mode, no multiplayer whatsoever.

Metroid Prime Hunters' single-player suffered from the online, I want Metroid to stay single-player like it always has.

i think online multi has become too big a deal for gamers, if a game doesn't have it then some people won't even try it and possibly miss out on a game they may have enjoyed

also it hurt the single player part (halo 2/gears, IMO)

Funny, I remember how at first Metroid Prime Hunters was going to be released with no online features. Nintendo was even all over it saying their trying to get the whole feel of just playing with your friends. One month later they postponed the release of the game to add online.

Lesson here= Don't listen to Nintendo and wait till the game is within a couple weeks before you can be certain about any aspect of their games. If the fans want it bad enough, Nintendo just might throw in the online multiplayer.

Im only a bit dissapointed...But I have to say that I would rather they polish-up on the story than anything =)

Prime is ALL about the Singly Player experience. Its still going to be an AMAZING game!! I cant wait for this one...

You people can keep hoping for online in MP3 but don't come in here whining when the truth comes and be undeniable.

Go cry to your momma instead.

Yes I will admitted people dont pick up games if it doesnt have online and games like MPH did suffered but how do we know it was because of the online? What if they finish the storyline in games(halo2,MPH, and Gears,) and just decided to add online because they had enough time to do it before it was released. Im still getting it without online though cause it looks pretty good.

Oh, I wont whine, I'll wait. And when the game comes out and if there is no online I wont buy the game. I know what I want and it's not a first person adventure game with no sort of co-op, tons of back tracking and no multiplayer. I want my money's worth here.

Remember that Metroid Prime 3 was also "Confirmed" to be a launch title but was delayed. This interview is old, we don't know if it will happen or not, but this interview definitely lowers the possibility of it happening.

Multiplayer is what I would need to merrit the purchase of some games. It's like why I won't buy a Zelda game at full price. Yes, they are well crafted and have depth, but I can't play a Zelda more than once and still care as much as the first time. I know others won't agree, I just can't go back to it.

It was supposed to be a launch title but was delayed till Early 20007 according to Reggie, he later said "mid 2007" and then I forgot when but they announced the release to be on August 20. So Counting since its scheduled launch of Nov 19, till August thats about 9 to 10 months.

As for The pictures, IDk ..Im not even sure there are new pictures :(

As I say again, I do know the definition of the word. A bias is an inclination that could inhibit impartial judgment. Your bias for wanting was that you had the inclination or a tendency toward a certain condition of game which it would be the game having either multiplayer or an on-line feature. Because of this, you judged the fact that because there has been a 10-month delay, obviously something has been included with the game, which would suit your hone for multiplayer or on-line functionality.
