I'm a Graphic Design student. Orange and Blue Complementary Colors since they are on Opposite ends of a Color Wheel. Same with Violet and Yellow and Green and Red. I said Secondary colors 1st and Primary colors 2nd.I actually felt that the orange kinda set off the blue color. But eh, I'm no interior decorator.

I like BOTH of those designs. Though I wouldv'e prefered a box art with a Big Metroid on it. Both of those designs are awesome. The Official one looks really cool and gets the point across without words and the second one (I guess fanmade white one?) is frantic but also very good in design.
this with first two new play control?
and anyone else find it weird that a game with such clear a brilliant an art direction through all 3 of the games finds it so difficult to make a good set of boxart
none of the metroid prime games had eye catching and interesting box art...
At least this looks better than Conduit's art.nintendoboy16the conduit's art falls into the "generic boxart", which includes someone pointing a gun at you while looking angry...

Seriously I NEED to know...is this real?
Wow, that's really boring box art. I guess it somewhat promises epicness... Just take out the big "Collector's Editon" label and change the color so it doesn't look so bland. This definitely won't catch anyone's eyes while scanning a wall of games.
The fan-art version looks amazing though.
Well no one really impulse buys games anymore so making boxart that really stands out isn't really necessary anymore. Its actually more important whats on the back of the box, than whats on front of it. lol since when did people stop impulse buying? Lol you have no idea what youre talking about but you sure want to make people think you do...you dont thoTHat looks incredible.[QUOTE="firefox59"][QUOTE="black_ice23"] this would be epicDarth-Samus

not real, but i bet you can get a clean pic of the front part, print it (on a high-quality printer, please) and put on your wii box (from the inside, like the actual art, not sticking with glue --'). actually, that's a great idea :D gonna make one myself :lol:Wow, that's really boring box art. Lol you have no idea what youre talking about but you sure want to make people think you do...you dont tho You know, I actually agree. The people only look at the back if the front appeals to them. However, my personal experience is that video games these days are so expensive that I only impulse buy cheap $5 games from Steam, Impulse, or GOG.com. I never go to the store and buy a full $50 video game based on impulse because bad games these days are a dime a dozen. That being said, neither the back nor the front will have any impact on me, or anybody like me, because we care more about the actual content inside than the cover art. However, I would probably buy the trilogy if they had the fan art. I have all three games and really don't see a need to buy the trilogy even if all three of them were great games. The artistic box art would probably change my mind though.
I rather have preffered this one instead.

Whoa, that one looks way cooler! :oI wish they would release it with that cover!
again, for those still talking about "i want the fanmade cover!!!"... but they probably dont read the other posts... whatever

to everyone interested in symbolism, notice that all those other 'angry men with guns' covers show all the details of the gun with a focus on the body of the rifles, but with samus's arm cannon, you usually only see the tip of her gun; an oval reticle, suggesting the female 'passage', rather than the masculine 'barrel' or projectile.
so the cover might be kind of dull, but to me it is simple and suggests samus's gender without revealing her face or body. so i don't think its that generic; it's quite succinct.

WHAT?
I don't know what to think of that comment...
For me, I can't figure out someone's gender by the way their positioning their gun.
I do like the simplicity, but it's still really generic- it doesn't have anything that differentiates it from the other titles.
If that's succinct, I'd say the other shooter titles are too. They're people with guns that show their genders... And shoot things.
