That segment was funny  I agree, but GAMESPOT thinks that both,DBZ especially, stinks. People need to stop complaining about controls with stiff learning curves. Anyways X-play, the only game review source I trust, made DBZfighting game of the year so it is better.
I prefer MK for a couple of reasons. But DBZ rocks too.
First I like the controls of both but here is what makes MK cooler it. I dont have to sit right on top of my tv. With DBZ i could not sit on my couch because it would not pick up my remote. That is a game killer when I have to sit on the floor or move a chair. Both have a boat load of characters. Both have awesome controls and graphics. DBZ is long and really insanely hard. MK has that classic MK feel so thats cool.

In what way?
The controls aren't as good and most of the characters on MK are exactly the same as far as fighting styles.
I love DBZ, but I have to admit the majority of the characters play incredibly similar. I'm not sure it's a vaild insult against MK.

Odd choice of reviewers to follow, as they some games they dont even give a fair shot. however GS does have issues with the learning curve of some Wii games. I understand they have alot on thier plate, but still putting down a game simply because you dont have time to learn its controls isnt helpful to readers at all.

What? DBZ has a deeper variety of moves and special attacks, more characters, and a longer single player. Point not found.
Does DBZ have more characters? I know MK has about 60+ characters, but I'm not completly done with DBZ, so I don't know. But yes, DBZ has a very long Single-Player. =)

Playable? If so, then I guess DBZ would have more content.

Yeah playable but I do have to say most are like powered up versions of themselves but subtracting those I'd still think that there were more than 60.
ATLReppa:
lol, i did the exact same thing! the closest walmart to me had games before systems, and i bought that game first, and played it for a few hours first before sports. lol.
ya, i 100%ed DBZ months ago, and it was fun the ENTIRE TIME. the other budokai games were tedius near the end to collect the db's and wish for the specials, but this game i had a effin blast! and ya, some of the characters playable are just powered up versions, but there are STILL tons of originals.
would you call oozaru versions of the saiyans the same character? hardly.
edit: i counted the different individual people, and found 74 i think. (it was a couple days ago) the saiyans all have an oozaru form (except for the half breeds) and all other transformations are possible starting forms, giving this game the huge character list that you crave. no more saving up energy to transform, you can START as ssj4 gogeta! lol.
