Well MoH 2 is almost there. The only problem is the game is kinda short, it does not have LAN connection, and it has no splitscreen multiplayer. Also its another entry to a whole bunch of bad MoH games, but this one looks great.
My point is when is Ubisoft or Capcom or someone good like that gonna really try to make a Killer App on Wii. Every wii fan will recognze it and it will be an instant seller. What is holding them back?

You really shouldn't be so closed-minded. Just because games in the same series lacked inherent quality, there's no reason to critisize a game that's not even out yet just because of it.
A famous scientist once said this, I believe it was Kevin Bacon but I'm not sure, but the quote goes something like this, "You should be open minded, but now so opened minded that your brain falls out". My point is, if there last game sucked, and the next one sucked, chances are the one coming after that is going to suck. Now I said, "chances". You can call "analyzing" information, not being close minded
Um, no. He criticised and concluded that the game would not be a killer app because of the previous games in the series, which is simply being closed-minded.
It would be the same if I said that Killzone 2 won't be a killer app for the PlayStation 3 just because of how mediocre the original Killzone was. It would be complete prejudice against a game that isn't out yet, based on things that don't determine the worth or quality of the game itself.
No i di not say it wouldnt be a killler app because the other ones sucked. GOSH you guys never get. I said that they already have a series. usually a killer app comes from a fresh series or from a sereis that doesnt come out with a game almost every year.
That was a major reason why MoH2 is not going to be a killer app. the other reasons are that while making huge strides with online play it also takes steps back by not even having any form of local play which makes no sense. Also the campaign is short. its not because the previous games sucked.
Again, this reason you give to say that the game might not be a killer app is completely unfounded and illogical. Different teams make different games and just because some teams made bad or even mediocre Medal of Honor games, there's no reason to believe that the team that's making Medal of Honor Heroes 2 can't make a game on the Wii that shines above the others and can't make a great FPS experience. Even by the logic that the same people who made the previous Medal of Honor games are making Medal of Honor Heroes 2, there's no reason to criticize the game for this. Sure, you may lower your expectations for what the game may offer but don't conclude that the game can't be a killer app just because of this.
"the other reasons are that while making huge strides with on-line play it also takes steps back by not even having any form of local play which makes no sense"
They had to choose between on-line and local and they went beyond what's expected from a third-party developer and above all games now on the Wii by promising 32-player on-line experience.
Once again thats not th reason. I dont know why you think that i think that. I think that games that come out almost every year cantbe killer apps.Thats why i said its damn close which still means its awsome.
The game also has other inadequacies. Like I said no local multiplayer and a short game. And why did they have to choose between them Who was making them do that? Please answer me this. But either way its not there even if its not their fault so it is still a negative.
The game still looks good maybe even AAA but not a killer app. Killer apps are like SSBB, SMG, and unfortuunately abunch of first party games. Which brings me back to the point of where the hell is the third party killer apps?
Again, you've already concluded that the game will reach a limited, certain quality just because of games prior to this game in the same series. Only two WWII games have come out for the Wii, and they were both ports. This game was made specifically for the Wii hardware, and because of that, regardless of the fact that WWII is an overused genre, it still has yet to be done respectfully on the Wii and this could be the game to do it. A different team is making this. The only Medal of Honor game that EA Canada made before Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is Medal of Honor Heroes, which wasn't that bad of a game and was one of the best, and "revolutionary", (if you will allow the term, just this once because it showed that a good first-person shooter could be made on the PlayStation Portable), first-person shooters on the PlayStation Portable and the sequel may do just the same on the Wii.
lol NO IM NOT. How can you tell me that what im trying to say when i know hjwat im trying to say. i merely mentioned that MoH 2 comes from a long line of bad games, i never connected it with the fact that its not gonna be a killer app. SO give it up. IM NOT SAYING THAT. im aying its not gonna be a killer app because the formula is already there, just like madden.
Hm, do you even know what a killer app is? Perceptions aside, a killer app is a game that a large percentage of people will buy a system soley because of the fact that the game is on that system, exclusive or not. Now here's the question: are you honestly going to purport that no one bought an Xbox 360/PS3/any other system that Madden 08 came out on just to play Madden 08?
"I think that games that come out almost every year cantbe killer apps."
Again, by the word "can't", you've already concluded that the game can't be a killer app, based on the quality and quantity of games that have come out before it. That's either close-mindedness or poor logic.
Ok I dont think im the first person that when they say cant are not that black and white. Killer App is something like Halo 3 or Super Mario galaxy. a game that is awsome, does not get made often, and sell a crap load of systems.
Madden gets madden every year, sucks, may or may not sell systems being that the people who buy those games wont really care what system its on. Not even close.
MoH2 is pretty much awsome, made alot, and so far does not show signs of selling many systems. So like a originally said it is almost a system seller.
I never said it would sell many systems, which Madden does by the way.
"Killer App is something like Halo 3 or Super Mario galaxy. a game that is awsome, does not get made often, and sell a crap load of systems."
I wouldn't call Halo 3 a killer app because it's not made often. By that logic, it's not a killer app. So many science-fiction first-person shooters are being made these days that there's no reason anyone is going to buy Halo 3 for it's originality or the fact that its genre is rare in the video gaming world today. They'll buy it because of the amount of hype that's surrounded behind it and what the game promises to the people who do buy it, (i.e. it's the next Halo game [a series which many people hold up to acclaim], 4-player co-op, and it'll actually finish and give a fulfilling storyline, unlike Halo 2).
actually Madden only sells systems but it does depend on what year. Still its no where near a killer app.
Halo 3 is a killer app. Sorry but it has the quality, it has sony fans buying 360s, and you got the wrong idea they may make alot of FPS but they dont make alot of Halo games.
Dude id ont think you get it. im not saying MoH 2 cant be a killer app because of its older brothers and im not saying it because there are alot of FPS, Im saying it because it clearly does not cut it for thehigh standards of a killer app.
BTW i know what your talking about with Halo and how it would sell if it was a piece of crap in a bag. halo 2 in act was that piece of crap in the bag because it barely had a campaign and a really good multiplayer so it was almost like a glorified Counter Strike game but was given the AAAs and the sales as if it wasa full fledged FPS. Which brings me back to my point that HAlo 3 seems to be changing that and even the devs admit Halo 2 was rushed but for Halo 3 they are right on target and i have to give them props because they are actually willing to end the series "somewhat" as if it was a real story with a begining and an end. Something neither Mario or Samus can do even if i like those games more. Rant done.......
"actually Madden only sells systems but it does depend on what year. Still its no where near a killer app.
I never said it was.
"Halo 3 is a killer app."
I never said it wasn't, quite the contrary in fact.
"...they may make alot of FPS but they dont make alot of Halo games."
Again,I never said they made many Halo games. I'm saying that comparing Super Mario Galaxy and Halo 3 is quite futile. Games like Halo, or sci-fi FPS, come out every single year, all with high production values. A decent, if not spectacular home console platformer like Super Mario Galaxy doesn't come out very often, with the last spectacular one coming out more than a decade ago. People get Super Mario Galaxy and Halo 3 for completely different reasons. The one thing that they have in common is that they will sell many console soley on their release of that game, not that each one if offering something original, or just being released to end a trilogy and fix the mistakes and errors that the last game had.
