I wish we could share the same release date with Japan lol. But that's fine I guess.scar-hawkYeah that would be nice. As long as we get it, and before the end of the year would be nice I am happy.
So,we should get it by FallMonsieurX
If it ever gets out of Japan :/ The island nation has a habit of keeping good games all to themself (mother 3, jumpstars, ect.)

I think there was an interview somewhere in the thread saying that devs were considering getting MH3 into NAThat's Monster Hunter Frontier for PC, but it gives a good idea how's the gameplay of the series. Thanks. :)Some awesome vids to help past the time

“Of course the Wii is a very important part of our multi-platform strategy. Games like RE4 on the Wii and Umbrella Chronicles have done quite well for us, and of course there’s Monster Hunter. Although it isn’t too popular, it was the number one selling title in Japan last year. So that goes to show we are very serious about the Wii as a company. People say that third-party Wii games don’t sell in Japan, but I can honestly say that we are cutting no corners with Monster Hunter Tri. There’s a lot of pressure to make it succeed, and I’m sure there will be a lot of shocked gamers out there when they see just how good Monster Hunter Tri looks. Please don’t worry. We are putting a lot of effort into Wii as well.” - Keiji Inafune
OK that's a lot of info, where exactly is the source that says its coming this summer. I thought only the Wiimake of G was coming this summer(in Japan).
Edit: Also, I read that the Wiimake will be pay to play, has any details been released for MH3 about this?
Here. IIRC there's no official confirmation on pay to play for MH3 yet. But, like the other MH games it could be pay to play just for Japan.OK that's a lot of info, where exactly is the source that says its coming this summer. I thought only the Wiimake of G was coming this summer(in Japan).

“ ...we plan to release our leading titles overseas to acquire game users, as the overseas market for Wii is extensive. One of our leading titles is ‘Monster Hunter 3 (tri-).’ If we can gain recognition of this product in the European and North American markets, our market strategy will see a noticeable change.” - Capcom statement

[QUOTE="ActicEdge"]Me. :)Great news but I have a question.
Who will buy tri if you have to pay for the online which is a possiblity?
SER69
That's great, I'll be buying it as well but some people are gonna act all shocked when they find out there is a possibilty they will have to pay for online.
Depends on the price and if I have the time to "fully" play it[QUOTE="ActicEdge"]

And thanks for the wallpaper,it's amazing!
Monster Hunter G online in Japan will be: - There will be a 14 day free online trial campaign - For ongoing online play, players will have to purchase Hunting Tickets - 30 days ticket = 800 Wii points, 60 days ticket = 1500 Wii points, 90 days ticket = 2000 Wii points ...so, if at all, it might be something like that for tri.[QUOTE="MonsieurX"]Depends on the price and if I have the time to "fully" play it[QUOTE="ActicEdge"]

The game has split screen co op and its huge, I have no problem paying for it.

Just saying.[QUOTE="MonsieurX"]Depends on the price and if I have the time to "fully" play it[QUOTE="ActicEdge"]

The graphics for the Wii are like nothing you’ve seen on the system before. It’s a really pretty game. In addition, we now have underwater combat which is brand new to the series. So there are lots of sea monsters and things like that you can go after. Fans of Monster Hunter are going to be really impressed with what we accomplished with Monster Hunter Tri.” - Capcom Product Manager Colin Ferris

I hope it is cheaper in the U.S. A $20 Wii Point card should give you way more than 3 months.I don't know about the whole "paying for online" thing, but it really depends on how much of the game can be played w/o it. If you can beat the game 100% w/o ever having to go online, then I'm fine with that. If certain things can only be aquired online, then that blows. Hopefully it's just for online multiplayer.
I don't think people should be charged for online, unless it's an online only game like WoW. It forces people into something when they shouldn't have to. You already have to buy the game, and pay for internet already...
We'll see how this turns out.
im thinking that it will be kinda like PSO as far as offline/online goes. you can beat the game without going online but then you play online and do special quests and get different special weapons and its just all around better onlineI don't know about the whole "paying for online" thing, but it really depends on how much of the game can be played w/o it. 20$ for 3 months is not that bad is affordable. Let's just hope that they wont ever shut down the servers of the game then that would suck.

I'm surprised no one has ripped Capcom's idea for these types of games. For some odd reason, it makes me think of Jurassic Park.
It could be like a side story from the movies, and you could be an Ingen worker that became trapped on one ofthe islands, and must fight/hunt to suvive.
[QUOTE="psychobrew"] Meh. Tons of loading screens and the player couldn't even get a kill.SER69The footage is from the demo version of Monster Hunter 3 tri that comes with Monster Hunter G. And yes... the one playing it sucked. :) I still want the game.
That video would have been much more enjoyable had the person playing been better. :P I hope the AI is improved a little bit though... it looked somewhat stupid. Still, it's a demo, and they have many more months to polish everything.
I'm glad the load screens don't last that long.
