...is what Nintendo game will showcase it?
Nintendo will probably use a big franchise to guarantee huge MotionPlus launch sales. The WiiWheel had Mario Kart, and the WiiZapper got FRIGGIN ZELDA.
What's next?

Im guessing Wii Play 2 and perhaps Zelda. I could even see it being bundled with the new Tiger Woods, Star wars Clone wars games.
Nintendo will want to make this standard IMO....so I would hope the big 3rd parties are already working on titles for it.
It will probably be WiiMusic.=/LINKloco
Well, it's not like WiiMusic wouldn't be HUGELY improved with such accessory.
If it is hard to show case it imaging how hard it will be to have anyone else care about it. Peripherals, unless packaged with the original console, are just fluff until next gen when it CAN be packaged in a console. Until then, no one should actually take them seriously.raahsnavj
Say that again when the next Nintendo blockbuster requires it!

Yeah, I don't really see how Wii Music could be thoroughly improved by using this.
Well, in the last news (that aren't so new), they gave examples of Wiimote use, and I'm sure with more precision it will avoid a lot of disappointment.
I'll think there's a good chance Retro's current project will be a showcase for this capability.thriteenthmonke
Nice catch.

In most cases having a hardware update like this thats almost manditory is questionable but this update is not. Its a great idea to imrpove the wiimote motion sensing but how will it be priced?20-30 bucks with a game is really the only fair thing but being as how they will probably now releeses large amounts of games that require the add on so they might just take advantage of us wii owners

Please people, get real:
There's a 0.001% chance the Star Wars games will support it. Those games started being produced way before this announcement, and in interviews it's clear the devs aren't aiming for 1:1. I don't think they will start remaking the games now.

That's what I'm thinking. A 3rd Star Wars game (Force Unleashed and Clone Wars) will be announced before LucasArts will remake the game.

....im really scared nintendo will make wii music the main event in the show, just like wiifit last year...my hopes are maybe be used with new zelda? someother thread here says maybe redsteel 2? disaster day of crisis?
This reminds me of Nintendo's expansion pack for the Nintendo 64...
It's too bad they didn't just make the controllers perfect to begin with...
Can anyone explain to me what 1:1 means? if it's makes the controls more smoother and better than I'm paying for it, but It better be bundled with a good game.Dymond7
We use 1:1 to say every Wiimote movement is actually accurately reproduced in game.
I'm going to say that Nintendo will have at least two titles to showcase off the Motion Plus at E3, at least one casual and one hardcore. I think the titles that they will focus on will be ones that legitimately cannot be done with the current Wii Remote, I also think that there is a good chance that their showcase games for this device are ones that we have not seen yet. The game(s) they choose to bundle this with will have mass appeal and will probably be built entirely around advanced motion control mechanics, I also think it will be a game we haven't seen yet.thriteenthmonke
That would be perfect, but... Too good to be true.
a friend said something interesting:
"since it will have more accuracy, we could get a full motion zelda, with no mapped buttons, real moves" that was basically what he said.
imagine... every move you make copied EXACTLY to links movements...
that makes the "new zelda" theory more possible... but still unprobable...

Sorry, but he said something dumb. The MotionPlus can't do everything Link does (let's start listing: sword, shield, bow, roll, push, items, jump... no need for buttons? Yeah, right...) and it would be annoying to be making every movement through the game.
The new Zelda isn't a theory. It's something said by Miyamoto himself. Now whether it will use MotionPlus or not is different matter.

I think Nintendo is looking for huge attach rate for this, it's not something like the Wii Balance board, or the Wii Wheel which have very limited applications, it's a small, presumably cheap device that can be applied to a wide range of games. I'm assuming that Nintendo will have both a casual and hardcore game to showcase it with because they want to sell it (and the games that use it) to both those groups, and I feel that they did the same with the Wii launch, where IMO Wii sports was the casual showcase and MP3 was their hardcore showcase. The reason I believe they'll be showing new games with the device is because I don't really see anything right now that I believe can work as a proper showcase for the device. There could be two possibilties for them to showcase this off at E3 tomorrow.
Kid Icarus (core gamers)
Wii Music (everyone)
it would make sense...
ohh...and to all these other fools that think Nintendo would package this with a 3rd party game is ridiculous. It would never happen. 99.9% if not 100% of all their accessories have always been bundled with 1st party games.
Being realistic, Wii Music is probably the most likely to show it off, I don't think if there's a Zelda Wii tomorrow it would be ready to show the 1:1 off.Lord_Omikron666
Anyway, If Zelda is announced, it will be a teaser video. So it's not like we'll know how it will support MotionPlus if it does.
Kid Icarus?
Anyway, I don;t think that the attachment will be made mandatory for every game, because it'll peeve off everybody who wants *insert game that doesn;t come with Wiimotion plus here*, but doesn;t want to shell out the cash for the attachment, so unless nintendo packages it with every new game that releases for a time, there's no way. One can always hope though!...... right?

Im not sure if anyone is clear on this but isnt the MotionPlus improving the sensitivity of the controller thus making the tracking data thats send from the wiimote to the wii more acurate...not adding more information and features just making the current tracking info and features more acurate? cause thats what it seems like its doing to me but everyone else describes it like its adding a new feature thus needing new games to support it
I've been saying all along, DK would fit perfectly on the Wii.
If they could pull the same effect with DK's (and the other Kongs') hair as with the Queen Bee in Galaxy...that would own. Plus, what other Ape can wear a tie?

that's what I'm getting out of it. It's just improving what we already have basically.
