The N64 Expansion Pak used with DK64. A little on topic thought if there could be another DK platformer.
Lord_Omikron666

I understood the reference, what I said was "I didn't meant it as a DK Wii hint".

Im not sure if anyone is clear on this but isnt the MotionPlus improving the sensitivity of the controller thus making the tracking data thats send from the wiimote to the wii more acurate...not adding more information and features just making the current tracking info and features more acurate? cause thats what it seems like its doing to me but everyone else describes it like its adding a new feature thus needing new games to support it

webbut

We'll have to wait for specs, but it's not like it will change games made for the original Wiimote in any way. They have been programmed in a way, and there's nothing they can do with the added motion data the MotioPlus sends to the Wii.

what im asking is if there is extra info with the MotionPlus or just more acurate info. Because if its just more acurate it'll improve all games new and old. if its extra then it only improves new games.

This is like the good old N64 expansion pack all over again. And that's a good thing :P. As far as what games to showcase the add-on....Zelda would be pretty epic. Kind of like how they really pushed the DS with Phantom Hourglass.

I still don't expect any DK Wii, but the MotionPlus would be fun to use with a DK platformer.

Wii Sports 2?mario_brawler

It seems to me that Wii Sports is the closest thing the Wii has on 1:1 translation from the Remote to the Screen

Indeed the few games that required the ExpansionPak were pure epic win. So I hope the MotionPlus is the Pak all over again, but with lots of games.

It's unclear. But one thing is sure: it sends more motion data to the Wii. "Old" games were made to work with some ammount of data and they aren't programmed to react to more data than that.

Think of it as if Nintendo released a GC controller were all buttons were analogic like the R/L shoulder buttons. Playing a GC game with that wouldn't change anything in the game, there's no programmed response for the extra analogic data.

It has potential but then again the wiimote always had potential. The problem is how few developers actually utilize it.

Unless the wiimotion plus comes bundled at less than 10 dollars, I'm not getting it. first of all it promises to do what the wiimote originally promised to do. second, most of those add-ons are good for some 10 games and that's it.

so you got it from me, bundle it for less than 10 dollars
