Most Under-Hyped Wii games of '08...

Hey guys, I was gonna make a video of the most under hyped wii games of '08 that have potential. Maybe 5 to 10 games. I was thinking...

So what do you guys think are the most under-hyped games that will probably be good?

Here's my list. I'll update as I hear more stuff from you guys...

We Love Golf

It's from great devs, has had great hands on previews, and no one knows about it. Golf games really aren't my thing but I feel almost obligated to mention it due to the severe obscurity it's falling in to. :(

Well lets see...

Fatal Frame 4 (if the previous installments are any indication, this Wii exclusive will be a terrifyingly good horror title)

King Story (considering the names behind it..)

FFCC: The Crystal Bearers (SE is putting a fair amount of effort behind this one)

and probably a number of other 3rd party titles, which sadly Nintendo fans often ignore.

Agreed, also Blast Works: Build, Trade, Destroy looks interesting (it might be another great game like Katamari Damacy but then again it might be terrible).

Disaster: Day of Crisis will probably be good. The premise is fairly unique. Part of me thinks it will be like Endless ocean. Although I haven't seen any screens or gameplay of the game yet. The trailer is pretty epic.

Baroque looks pretty bad. It would be one thing if this game was coming out to the PSP. It will probably be no better than Star Ocean. The battle system is real time, and there just doesn't seem to be any real cool factor thats jumping out at me.

Opoona 'had' potential. The game environment looks like dragon quest but the characters look way too simplified.

Rygar just might be the Ninja Gaiden or that God of War equivalent game for the Wii. The boss battles look great but the voice acting could be better.

Opoona! 70+ hours of gameplay and 8/8/8/7 from Famitsu. This game's gonna be great, and I don't even like RPG's.

I think FFCC is underated. It has the potential to suprise people I think. But other than that there isnt much that's underrated, everythings overrated.

I've heard almost little to nothing about this game.
It looks like its going to be pretty descent.

TOS 2 because TOS was one of my favorite games EVER and I haven't found anyone as excited as I amLunar52

yes okami will be good, instead of doing the brush strokes with the control pad (on the PS2 version) you'll use the wiimote

Ya I was excited for Opoona until they started saying it was being simplified for an audience that will never buy the game. Also they are using the Nunchuk only. If they want to do this casualized game use the best control possible. The wiimote would have allowed for alot faster and more convenient RPG. Their decision making is foolish and who ever is making these decisions should be slapped.

Rygar will be good if they can really push the visuals and make perfect controls that make people happy they arent using a dual analog.

Disaster has the potential to be GOTY.

Bully should not ever ever be included in any sort of hype thread or video. Year old PS2 port doe not eaual a next gen Wii game. (At least when it's not updated visually)Darth-Samus

well then it should be according to yuor standards because Bully is getting improved graphics, better framerate, and better load times along with extra features. Ports are not bad things if they are done like Okami and Bully.

Like what? They have not had enough development time for another installment in any of their franchises. That's ok as I have yet to finish Zelda: Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Super Mario Galaxy and Super Paper Mario for 1st party. I also need to finish Nights: Journey of Dreams, Sonic and the Secret Rings, SSX Blur, No More Heroes and Manhunt 2 for 3rd party. So between the games I have yet to start/finish that I own and Smash Brawl and Mario Kart coming soon, I probably won't notice the quality game shortage until this fall.

Not to be a hater or anything (I do have 20 games for Wii and 41 for Virtual Console, hardly a hater) but if Factor 5's game is as crummy as Lair it's not going to amount to much. If it ends up being a sweet Star Wars or Starfox game then that's a different story. Animal Crossing is not my thing. Maybe when I was 8 I would have liked it, but I'm 28 now, lol. I'll put money on that Nintendo Secret Project having the word 'Mario' somewhere in the title and being either baseball, tennis or some sport. And Retro's game is more than likely Metroid 'something', which would be great, but they have not had enough time to develop after Metroid Prime 3 just being released at the end of August.

I always see you defending the Wii quite heavily on the boards. Why is this? And games with no names or release dates don't count as HUGE EXCLUSIVES. I would love to defend the Wii this year during the period of attack, but as a gamer I cannot justify it as the competition clearly has REAL quality games coming on both of their systems between Summer and Christmas and Nintendo will be finished unloading their cannon in April.

In the end it doesn't matter. The glory days of the NES/SuperNES have returned for Nintendo and I supported them through the tough times with N64 and Gamecube, which were not failures at all in my book. I own all of their systems besides the Game Boy Color and the dreadful Virtual Boy. I'm just trying to convey to you that there are many quality games on the other consoles. I know you're not a fangirl as you do own all 3 last gen consoles. I just don't get why you can't see the green grass in everyone's yard this gen.

Just letting you know Factor 5 is making a Bloom Box type of game. Meaning its more of a non gamer target.

Also I hope Retro does something other than Metroid. Yes I love Metroid but why not give them Geist 2 or a completely new IP.
