My Ideas For The Next DS (56k warning?)

Yeah so everything is pretty much self explanatory. That thing by the dpad is a joystick psp **** I think it should have atleast the power of a gamecube. I think the bottom screen should stay the same size to keep the DS small and for better ease of use for FPS. I alos think it should have about 512 MB for VC games and should be able to run Nes-64. Oh yeah teh speakers in the pic have been moved to the hinges leaving the whole top for agiant screen. I think it would be cool for the speakers to outward too because it may be able to alert u when one of ur firends log in or something....I duno, I would think this would be an insane handheld if Ninty came out with something like this. And yeah my guess would be that it would have built in rumble and motion sensing....sooooooo whatchu guys think?

yeah but i dont think the next DS will come out for awhile and i think it would be pretty affordable to make it. I mean it couldnt sell for more than the PSP is..

I like your idea for having a large wide screen for the top screen and a smaller one for the bottom. Add a second analog stick to the right though. The PSP is suffering due to the lack of that second analog stick.Chase79

personally, i dont think it should have a 2nd analog stick because of the touch screen...but yeah id be sick if the next one did...id def wouldnt argue againts it

I think it's a good effort but overall a bad design.

The most glaring problem in the design is that it's widescreen and when you add in the bottom screen you end up with a upside down triangle of video. Considering that all devs to this point have designed games to work in a square like a TV set you're just begging for reduced developer support for it.

Jeez guys, can't you understand this is a joke-thread, definitely making a mockery of the PSP. Analog stick, graphics like the Gamecube (PSP - PS2...), Plays old games (download PS1 games off the PSN Store). I thought you guys could catch this reference.

They should just remove all buttons from the console (except the shoulder buttons) and replace them with 2 thumb straps to use on a touch screen.Raiko101

That would get rid of the buttons, just keep the stylus for the actual screen then.

I like the giant top screen and VC capabilities. Dunno about analog stick. Either remove it or include another one. Overall better than other ideas I've seen.InfinitySamurai
