i was in gs and i saw this game. read it and i was somewhat convined to pick it up b/c theres is too much spanish speaking in my city, and half the time i feel ignorant b/c i dont know whats being said. i dont want to take spanish speaking classes b/c i know that would get pricy. the game is only $30.00, it fits inmy pocket, and it can tailor to my work/lifestyle, plus the game seems robust w/ features to ensure you can translate and understand some basic phrases in foreign languages. i just wanted to know if anyone played it and actually had something good to say about it...in a different lauguage that is :)

I've seen people on this forum say that it's really basic and not all that helpful because it doesn't do anything besides present tense, so good luck trying to talk about what you've seen and done. :P

If you're looking for language tutorials, you can easily find good ones in the form of podcasts, and those are free.

From the perspective of someone's who seriously wants to learn a language I'd have to say that the 'My Language Coach' series is very disappointing. What it offers is ok, the problem is that it just doesn't offer enough content and is far, far too basic. You really won't get very far at all with just the present tense. MLC could be a fantastic series if they would develop it is serious language learning tool rather than a language game. I'm sure it could be a very profitable series provided that the amount of content rivals traditional book/cd language courses.
