my R button is difficult to use. i have to press it really hard and i dont hear that click i hear on the L button. Im sure glad the L button works for MPH and ZeldaPHG. but games like drill dozer and DK swing are games im gonna have to pass up cause of this problem..
I called nintendo about this and they gave me 2 options. send in the DS for 2 weeks and get it fixed for about 50 bucks. they send you a refurbed for $85 no questions asked. So you would have 2 DS's ..
And another story for those who care to know about... maybe ill make a new thread...
Hard to believe that people are breaking there R button through use. I'm not sure what to suggest. You have either 3 choices-
Get it fixed
Get a new one
Live you're life without being able to play games that require the R button
(since you had it for a year then i guess that your warranty is over. Was going to suggest to send it to Nintendo and get a new one...bummer...
i think the reason being is that they collect dust or other stuff when u dont play it n the buttons get hard to press or in some cases dont work.
Unless I literally slam it :( Any opinions on what I should do ? BTW, I've had my Lite for a year if it matters.MF_D3f
Find a second-hand dealer that doesn't track serial numbers. Buy a used DS Lite from them, and return your broken one saying the R button doesn't work. They'll eat the loss, and you'll be happy, that is........until the final day of judgement is upon you. Make haste.
my R button gets stuck and jammed for some reason, it feels off, I have to press it hard to hear a click and then its ok for a little while.
I don't see why though, I never use R.
i've had my DS for5 months now , and all the games I've got do not require the R button . SO if the R button does get worn off because of overuse .... I guess I can safely say I'm not gonna encounter that problem for a long while . But I don't think dust can cause such a problem .

That sucks. That sucks balls.
Ok my L button had the same problem not to long ago...now it may seem crzy but trust me on this...put your button cover back on (if you pulled it off) then blow onto the R button hard (without spitting) I don't know how it exactly works but it did wonders for me.
blow air on the corner where ur r button is NaderinoI heard that this really works. I'm going to have my DS case replaced, so I haven't tried my L and R button, I hope they work.
My R button is just the same
probably cause i snaked so much in MarioKart DS, and i was practically addicted to that game :P
