I have my Wii hooked up through component cables to my 32" Vizio LCD TV. I have my Wii set to 480p and Widescreen and my games look pretty bad. The games even get slightly cut off on the right side, meaning it doesn't fill the entire screen but it is displayed in widescreen. Could this be because I'm using third-party universal component cables for my Wii? No More Heroes looks like an N64 game and I think Metroid Prime on the Gamecube looked better than how Corruption looks on my screen.
Look, I don't troll around forums and I don't have time for that. I actually enjoy my Wii but ever since I moved to an LCD TV I've been having problems with how games look. They looked fine on my SDTV and I'm just asking if there's something I can do about it.

Its is probably because the Wii can not produce good quality HD visuals. It looks good, but not that good. Change it. Dont keep it on your LCD, because it will continue like this, belive me, I had problems like this with my 360.
Check the setting on your TV, maybe you need to tweak something. IF you can though return those cables and get Nintendo brand ones, I'm playing Wii on a 62" TV and it looks stunning. Granted some games like Madden (Madden 2010 should rectify this though) and No More Heroes just look awful still, but they still look jaggy on a regular CRT TV too.
