For some reason, my wii sports disc seems to be scratched. I didn't touch the system whatsoever while in play. Heck, i even make sure to take out the games when i'm done.

WTF is going on?! It's never done this before.

Plus, my SSBM disc is scratched too!

Trust me, i take very good care of my games.

(mind you, i got my wiion the last day of november or so)

Are you keeping it in the cardboard holder in came with? That will scratch it up. I suggest getting a CD wallet. Or just use an old case.

No clue. I just know that my Wii Sports disc was getting more scratched every day until I bought a CD wallet. Could the case you have it in have dust or something that's scratching it?

Hmm, that IS strange, but it has happened to me....

Truthfully, it happens to my disc sometimes... do you leave them in the system by any chance?

Maybe your SSBM scratches when you put it back in the case?

If you look closely, you'll see that every CD you own has scratches on it. It is inevitable. They are only designed to last 10 years or so.

you can get special kits that fill in the scratches so it will work fine, i suggest getting that. But try looking in your game cases, and see if anything could scratch your discs. If there isn't anything in the cases then try a test with an old disc and put it in the wii and leave it in there for a few minutes, and then see if it comes out scratched.

I heard somewere that you could just order a new box case, not the card bord case you got with the wii, through nintendo. it would keep it in better condition.:D

your wii is mad at you for not playing with it that much, and when your asleep it wakes up and grows hands and long nails to scratch your discs

What's with the attitude? And the mispelling of "pansies"? They guy's looking for help and we're giving to him. You're just being an ass.

@TC: All discs eventually get scratches over time, it's pretty hard to prevent it, unless you never use it or take it out of the case when you buy it brand new.

It may be that you have set it down label side (shiny side up) and that has actually scratched and ruined the data. If you know the layers of discs, the fact everyone places cd's label side down is actually the bad way to do it because the data is closer to the top and the top has less layers inbetween. Whereas the bottom of the cd has a protective layer. If you scratch the top of the cd u can ruin your data. If you scratch the bottom it just means the reading laser may be distorted when passing through the scratch.

The "case" that Wii Sports comes in scratches the discs. It's rough interior will scratch the disc against dust or any particles in it, or the air that land on the disc. I recommend just putting it in a DVD case. I put my Wii Sports in an emptry game case that is not being used. Like right now Trauma Center is in my Wii but I put Wii Sports in my TC case.

My Wii Sports disc is scratched but none of my other games are. I'm pretty sure it's because of the cardboard envelope it came in.
