I got my Wii a few months ago, and after going awhile without playing it I decided to get a copy of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07. I played it for awhile, then went to turn my Wii off my using the button on the Wiimote. Oddly, my Wiimote turned off but the Wii console itself stayed on. I can turn the console on and off by the power button, but when I try to turn the Wiimote on it just flashed for 2-3 seconds then turns itself off.

I tried to sync button under the battery cover but it just flashes for awhile and turns off to. And the batteries aren't flat, I swapped them for a new set and it still had the same problem. Any ideas ppl?

I have this problem occasionally. all you need to do is unplug your wii and remove the batteries from your wiimote. Then plug in your wii and batteries and trun it on with the wiimote. Might take a few tries but it will work eventually

The only button that works without SYNCing is the Power button :D.

And the only way to SYNC it is in the Black screen that shows up when you turn it on... and it tells you to press A.
