so i got online for the first time with my Wii today and, after a long update wait, i found it to be pretty awesome.
i checked out the weather channel and the news channel and they both worked fine, but when i tried to go onto the shop channel, it just stayed on the now connecting screen for an hour and a half until i finally just turned off my wii b/c i had to go to work
so what i want to know is, have any of you out there had this problem an what can i do about it to make it work?
im using the USB ds connector btw and im in the same room as my cpu, so the connection shouldn't be the problem b/c I have all the bars on it

this hasn't happened to me but has for my buddy, he just turns the wii off and tries again. 'm not sure what causes it, maybe too many ppl going on the server
