Need Metroid Prime 3 Corruption help (Hyper mode)

I've been playing this game on the highest difficulty, but now I am hopelessly stuck. There is a part where I have to deactivate the Pirate Homeworld sheilds by using my X-ray visor to blast bouncing balls inside a tall cylendar type structure. The problem is that there are enemies that respawn infinately which are constantly in their hyper modes. If an enemy is any where near you, you visor goes fuzzy so you can't use X-ray. So you must kill them all, but they keep coming back too fast and I eventually die because I used hyper mode too much. Is there a trick to this part? It is very frustrating. I've been here for months.

It has been a while since I've played the game,but if I really correctly,can't some enemies be defeated by using the Nova Beam to pierce their armor and kill them within a few hits?It would certainly help save some health.

When I managed to pull this off, I had only like 20% left of a single energy tank.

You need to be able to use you hypermode wisely.

Use it to eliminate enemies, let the blue fill up so that when it automatically stops, you almost have the same health as before the hypermode.

Right after that, switch to x-ray visor and blast away at the center pole where you need to hit.

After a few tries, you will eventually prevail, but don't expect to have more than a single energy tank left afterward.

I have played hypermode through twice now and as I recall the part you are at is one of the most difficult parts of the whole game so don't feel discouraged by your difficulty in that area.

For me it was all about efficiency and persistence. I hope you are stocked up life and your missiles as you should not be afraid to use them.

There is more than one of the x-ray parts to destroy so if a pirate is right there blocking your x-ray you don't necesarily have to kill them.I would suggest trying to move to another area where you have to use the xray to shoot those weird ball things.

Another note on efficiency... this part of the game is made slighly easier by being able to move quickly in and out of xray and regular mode so be sure you are good at that and able to do it out of the line of fire of your enemies.

hope these notes help you out a bit. You are so close to feeling the awesome accomplishment of completing what to me is still one of the wii's best games.
