The Wii has netflix too. And as we all know...
Wii is only for teh kiddies:roll:
In all seriousness, the 3DS has parental controls. now reather netflix will make use of it, who knows. But if it does, mommy and daddy can tell it not to allow their children to view sensitive material.
Yeah it's got parental controls, plus you actually have to add it to your Netflix account. Most kids aren't going to be able to do that. It doesn't just automatically start streaming videos.
Netflix running on the 3ds is a cool idea and as it (hopefully) is free, i am all for it. the screen size is a let down I guess.... but so is the ipods, so its all relative I guess.ekalbtwin
Well, you can download Netflix for free on the Wii... so i dont see why they would have you charge now. Though, that doesnt mean the service will be free. Remember netflix will give you a 1month free trial (doesnt matter what you stream videos on, tv, pc, or console) and then you will have to pay. But the app itself is still free.

Good point, I'll just write a list of movies I want to watch and then just simply watch all of them. BTW, does anyone know if you can watch 3D movies on this (Using Netflix ofcourse, so they have to support it)
There is no 3D netflix yet, everything will be in 2D. It might happen at some point though. Not sure if there are enough people with the ability to view 3D movies for Netflix to go with the effort. They'd probably charge extra for it too.
As long as you already have an active Netflix account, it's 'free.' You don't have to pay more than the $7.99 a month you're already paying for streaming service. No, Netflix does not have 3D right now.
The small screen sucks but if it's just for watch TV shows now and then when you're stuck at an airport or whatnot, it'd be fine I think. Can't see myself watching movies on it from bed though, considering I can watch them on the TV/computer from bed. The sound will probably suck without headphones too.
I dont get this topic...
You need to pay 7.99 minimum for Netflix and you need a credit card.
Kids dont have credit cards.
Where's the problem? If someone has netflix chances are they should be of age...You know you can get netflix on your computer too right? and all gaming consoles? And your iphone? etc etc.

He probably meant something like this, you know how if you have already signed up for netflix, then all the child has to do is know the username and password and then boom, they can access whatever they want. But now really, the 3DS has parental controls. Soif you are a parent, and you dont want your child to see unapproprit/ sensitive material, then please turn the parental controls on the 3DS on if you havent already.
