sorry if this was posted b4, but there are new club nintendo rewards. They're just folders and greeting cards, it feels...meh. What are your opinions on the new rewards?

Damn it all. When are they going to put up something worth more than 1000 coins? I want something nice, not pieces of paper.
I wonder if we complain enough about the rewards, will Nintendo go out of their way to give us the same rewards that the Japanese get?Kinda like when the Japanese whined about them not getting as good a version of Tatsunoko Vs Capcom as NA, Capcom went out of their way to get them what they wanted. I wonder if Nintendo will do something similar because I'd love to have that Super NES/Famicom Wii Controller that the Japanese got a while ago. I'm being rhetorical because I know Nintendo wouldn't do it.
Capcom listens to their fans. Nintendo doesn't. So yeah, it's kind of pointless.I wonder if we complain enough about the rewards, will Nintendo go out of their way to give us the same rewards that the Japanese get?Kinda like when the Japanese whined about them not getting as good a version of Tatsunoko Vs Capcom as NA, Capcom went out of their way to get them what they wanted. I remember getting the Zelda Collection, Metroid Prime demo, pink Kirby stylus, and rainbow stylus set for just registering 1 game apiece back in the day. Now you have to buy like 6 Wii games to have enough points for some paper or ds cases.
they are stupid
thats what they are
i need 40 more coins for the zelda poster though
ill get it after chirstmas
I don't know, I wouldn't get them, but it is nice to get lower point items, though I too would like to get a really nice item. I realyl can' wait much longer though, some of my wii points are about to expire.

Capcom listens to their fans. Nintendo doesn't. So yeah, it's kind of pointless. Thats not true and the big difference there is Capcom listened about something that will directly make them money via one of thier patented double dips. But yeah I would like to see better rewards, I actually mentioned that in one those extra surveys about Club Nintendo.Ditto. Although I did get the Zelda posters and they are pieces of paper, but they were nice pieces of paper :P Hahaha.\ I also got the mini calendar thing.Damn it all. Every set of rewards is a perfect example of why we should wait for the next set of rewards. :(They're a perfect example why you should wait for the next set of rewards

I hope that everyone complaining here about the rewards did the recent survey (worth 30 points I think?) they have on Club Nintendo now, because it asks you for your suggestions on how to improve the rewards offered and what things you would like to see as a reward.clicketyclickYep. I suggested more Nintendo-themed items that aren't really related to gaming, like mugs or pillows or the like. That's the kind of stuff people eat up.

Games! why don't people ask for more frickin' games? They have the whole VC, DSiWare, WiiWare they could pull from. They could use their rewards to pump out overlooked games and get the talk going for games that are getting ignored or something. If nothing else, I wouldn't mind cashing in my Coins for Points or something. Even at a 3:1 ratio coins:points I would do it.[QUOTE="clicketyclick"]I hope that everyone complaining here about the rewards did the recent survey (worth 30 points I think?) they have on Club Nintendo now, because it asks you for your suggestions on how to improve the rewards offered and what things you would like to see as a reward.JordanElek

If someone asked me the question of: "What could we do to make you enjoy being rewarded for buying all our stuff?" - Sure I would keep it in reason, I wouldn't ask for a car or anything, but why wouldn't I ask for something that is a copy of bits that doesn't cost anything (or at least equal or less than the manufacturing costs for 'gear') for Nintendo to transfer over to my console? And true, I could buy them right now if I wanted, but that would cost money. Money I clearly have pointed out isn't worth spending it on... why not give a reason to prove otherwise? Surely Nintendo has figured out by now word of mouth (and "mario" on it) sells everything better.[QUOTE="raahsnavj"][QUOTE="JordanElek"] Yep. [QUOTE="JordanElek"]Because they probably won't do that, and they're already available for us if we want them.raahsnavjThat's insane. Are you afraid to ask for something you might not get? No..... The main reason is because I can get those games already if I want to. I'd rather have Nintendo offer things that we wouldn't otherwise EVER get. And I think it would be pointless IN THIS CASE to ask Nintendo to offer us stuff for free that we can already pay them money for (and willingly do, quite often). This is Nintendo we're talking about here.
The Game and Watch Collection was a good idea, as was the Doc Louis Punch Out DLC (though it was pretty lame), because those aren't available anywhere else.
I wouldn't be mad or anything if Nintendo offered Coins to Points or free games, but I'd be happier to get stuff that I can't get anywhere else. Best would be both.

i agree...getting games that can be bought everywhere else would be pretty lame. Im sure the games will cost like more than 1000 coins for one, so itll be like buy 7 games and get one free. Id rather get some nice video game accessories exclusive to club nintendoThat's insane. Are you afraid to ask for something you might not get? No..... Point taken... though I doubt this is the only place you can get them. You can find anything you want on Ebay and other pawn shops these days. I could have got the G&W collection from my local game pawn shop for $15 the last time I was in there. However, all this got me thinking. I wonder which has the highest Ebay value... maybe that is what I should be doing with my coins. Turn them into real money I can spend on stuff I really want. No point being limited to Nintendo stuff with that option.Anyone know what rewards Club Nintendo Japan can get? I'd make an account, but I can't read a lick of Japanese.

Thanks man. Yeah their club looks better overall, more stuff, better stuff. It also looks like, depending on how many satrs they get per game, their stuff is cheaper. The game and watch collection is 500 stars and not 800 coins like it is for us. They get special offers like the free blue wii remote, limited edition console colors, and they get to register more stuff, like the wii or controllers. I got a Japanese Pro Classic controller and it even had a registration code. In other words Club Nintendo Japan >>>>> Any other Club Nintendo; they keep the best for themselves.
